| abstract | - Actor and comedian Adam Riches (born 29th March 1973 in Cambridge) appeared on Coronation Street in both October 1998 and June 1999 as an unnamed Waiter. Raised in Glasgow and London, he attended Sutton Grammar School for Boys and studied media and performance at Salford University following a brief spell of employment at Disneyland Paris. He worked as a bit-part actor before doing his first show at Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2003, and winner of the prestigious Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award, 2011. On-screen, he has been credited for roles in A Touch of Frost, Always and Everyone, Common Ground, The Day They Came to Suck Out Our Brains!, Detectorists and Horrible Histories. Stage and Fringe productions include Plait du Nuit, See You Next Tuesday, Boxhill and Westhumble, Tuesdays!, Victor's Lament, The Teddy Dish Project, Crash Test Comedy, Triceratops, Big Bag Comedy, So Comedy Night, Chat Show Roulette, A Thousand Miles of History and Our Ajax.
