After a stint in the National Youth Theatre, he was briefly employed in computers and banking before studying Theatre and Communication at Huddersfield University. On-screen credits include roles in The Bill; The Grand; Heartbeat; Harbour Lights; Emmerdale and the TV movies Strike Force; Stone, Scissors, Paper and Seeing Red. On stage he has appeared in productions of What Every Woman Wants, As You Like It, Under Milk Wood, Hobson's Choice, Sense and Sensibility, The Haunted House, Gasping, Macbeth, Funny Money, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Ghost Train and Deadly Nightcap.
