  • Don Johns ( - August 25, 1962) was a NASCAR driver from Bellflower, CA. He competed in two Nextel Cup Series events in his career, recording one top-ten. All of those races came in 1957, when Johns debuted at Los Angeles. Starting 26th in the twenty-eight car field, Johns completed all but six laps in route to a remarkable 8th place effort. He was not able to top that in his other event, falling out with overheating issues at Sacramento and finishing 23rd.
  • Johns played junior for the Ottawa-Hull Canadiens and the Fort William Canadiens in 1956-57 and 1957-58. He then turned pro with the Winnipeg Warriors of the Western Hockey League in 1958. The New York Rangers picked him up in 1960 and he enjoyed a good NHL rookie season in 1960-61. However, he was sent down to the minors in 1961-62 and 1962-63. Injuries to Rangers defencemen gave him a full season in the NHL in 1963-64.
