- According to the official game manual, this increases the number and quality of your staff. Theoretically this would be maintenance, concession, and other employees. This is a hugely debated issue, what exactly it does and whether it is worth it. It is rumored that this affects the happiness of the fans attending and have an effect on ticket sales, but this has not been proven nor dis-proven by anyone. Most managers keep this upgrade at the same level as the Building upgrade, and seems to work well.
- Staff with VFK_ in front of their names are moderators. These people roam the game to find players that are breaking the rules. They have the power to ban users. Staff with HOST_ in front of their names are game hosts. Their primary job is to create and host games for players to play in. They also can ban, if necessary. There are also staff with no prefix, these are game producers. They most often work behind the scenes.

- Staves are a class of weapons in Titan Quest, primarily used by spellcasters. Staffs are ranged two-handed weapons dealing base elemental damage, either lightning, fire, or cold. The elemental damage of staffs benefits from corresponding or Elemental Damage bonuses of items and skills. Staves are unique amongst weapons, as they are the only weapons that have no strength or dexterity requirements, however they have extremely high intelligence requirements as a result.

- This is one of a Magician's weapons. It attacks slightly more quickly than an equivalent level Wand, and does more damage. However, both hands are required to wield it, thus reducing the defense which a Shield could have provided. If you become an Elementor, a second Mage class, you will be required to use a staff as your weapon, like a Psykeeper has to use a wand. You can use the staff to your advantage in many ways.

- Staves (杖 Tsue lit. Rod) are weapons that do not always have hostile uses. Their power, hit percentage, and usefulness depend not only on the staff itself, but it also depends on the unit using it. In Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, staves can also be used to counterattack if the user is wielding a staff, like Fortify. In Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, staves can miss and/or double. Generally, skills such as Armsthrift do not stop the staff's durability from decreasing.

- A staff is a hand-to-hand combat weapon generated from a baton, resulting in a weapon similar to a "bo staff". They are most commonly found in the hands of Sentries being used for law enforcement purposes. There are two types of staff seen in TRON: Legacy. One, used by sentries, is generated from a single baton and has an asymmetrical shaft with the longer length usually employed as the 'downward' end. The other, used by Clu's Black Guard, is formed from two batons combined together with a symmetrical shaft of bright energy extending from the ends. es:Vara

- The Staff is one of the common weapon types in the Disgaea series. The primary weapon of Magic users such as Mages, Healers (Male/Female) and Skulls, Staves are also unique among the weapons. Unlike the other weapons, they do not have inherent abilities that can be learned. Increasing a character's Weapon Mastery with the Staff instead increases the range and power of spells cast. Staves tend to increase a character's Intelligence stat, rather than Attack, although physical attacks with the staff are still based on the attack stat. In Disgaea D2, physical attacks with a Staff now use the INT stat for Damage.

- The staff is the most basic spear weapon, capable of only weak Blunt attacks. While it can inflict minor bruises, poke holes in the ice and slap at fish, its primary use is in crafting. If nothing else is available, it can perform surprisingly well thanks to its above average defensive and offensive bonuses compared to other improvised weapons. Like the club, it will generally leave hides intact when used to kill an animal. - Game Encyclopedia
- While not as powerful as the Gauntlets, the Staff has an advantage of its own: it does not restrict movement like the Gauntlets, which pull the player towards the target. In fact, it has a knockback effect that pushes lighter enemies backwards and away. A useful strategy is to keep walking back and forward while attacking monsters, thus avoiding unnecessary damage from their melee attacks. On some source ports, the forward movement increases the momentum of the thrust (although damage is unchanged), thus pushing it farther and making the strategy usable even against mobs.

- This wooden staff is Raiden's weapon of choice. Long ago, it was given to him as a gift from the Elder Gods, and is made of a special kind of wood that can withstand electrical shocks. At one point, Raiden gave Kai the weapon (in Kai's MK4 ending), that it could show him the ways to immortality and in Deception, Kai gives the staff to Shujinko for Kung Lao, that way he can rebuild the White Lotus. Raiden's staff appears to be based on the Japanese bō staff, or the Chinese chang gun staff.

- A Staff (plu. "Staves") is a type of Magical Item which can be equipped on any Hero possessing an appropriate slot. The bonuses on the Staff will enhance that Hero's performance, particularly his/her Ranged Attack. As with any Magical Item, Staves can have a total mix of up to 4 different bonuses and/or Item Powers. Staves are some of the most powerful items in the game - at least potentially. Their bonuses are primarily geared to improve the Hero's File:Icon Ranged Magic.png and spell-casting properties. Staves are generally superior to Wands, but are somewhat more expensive to make.
- File:Staff Type.gif Staffs can be naturally wielded by Martial Artists, and require Equip Staff from the Martial Artist passive skill set to be equipped on other jobs. Most Martial Artist Staff Attacks skills can only be used while a Staff is equipped. Most Staff add accuracy and evasion.
- A staff is a two-handed blunt weapon, usually in the form of a long pole a bit taller than a person. They can be made of metal or wood. Some staves have small balls or other ornamental shapes on one end. However, these shaped ends are mainly decorative, and are not as large, sharp, or significant as they would be on a mace or polearm. The list of trainers can be found here: Weapons trainers. No craftable staff was possible before the Mists of Pandaria Expansion. The partial exceptions (created by a quest process) were and , but both of their sources were removed with the Cataclysm expansion.
- The Staff are Users of the Bell Tree forums that have been granted extra status to help out with the community. They have been given tools (warning, infracting, banning, locking forum-wide) in order to enforce the rules. Their usernames are colored blue and italicized in order to differentiate from other users. Administrators are one step above moderators, and have access to changing features of the forum itself. Their usernames are colored red. Project Staff are one step below moderators, and are in charge of forum events. Their usernames are colored light blue.
- The Gotham and Beyond Staff are here to help the users and players of Gotham and Beyond. If you need assistance, or have questions, don't ever feel a need to hesitate to contact any of us. Text | - Shadows of the Empire Sourcebook
- Long ago, the gnarled staff was often a repository of magic. The traveler who approached in robes and armed with but a staff was to be treated with caution. In time, the favored channel became the spellbook which could hold more magic and send it forth with a matching speed. The gnarled staff has become a simple weapon, its end weighted and thickened by the wind-tempered woods of the Polar Circles. In the hands of a trained fighter, however, it can deliver a terrible headache.
- A six foot piece of carved ironwood that has been magically attuned, the staff sold in the weapons shop of Britain is more formidable than it seems. It is the favorite weapon of Magi.
- A stout length of ironwood serves many purposes on a long travel, yet among various disciplines, such a tool, if balanced properly, is an effective weapon. In can be a prober of defenses and a sweeper of legs. Elegant in its simplicity, in the hands of a martial master, it is a lively marvel.

- The Vulcans of the Last-of-all-Cities colony on Darien 224 used a type of staff weapon; The weapons featured a long staff with elaborately designed blade at one end. The weapons also functioned as energy weapons capable of firing energy discharges and arcing with green energy when in use. The weapons energies seem to concentrate around the hands of the user and upon impact when impaling a victim. (EV comic: "Cloak and Dagger") The Darien Vulcans originated from Vulcan prior to Time of Awakening and many of there traditions and technologies had not changed since they left, so, the weapons may have been used on Vulcan as early as the 3rd century. In 2376 Ezri Dax engaged the Jem'Hadar Kitana'klan in a sparring session to try and gain his respect and gain a better understanding of his motives. She opted to use staffs as opposed to the more dangerous bladed weapons like the Klingon Bat'leth or Jem'Hadar Kar'takin, though she was quite aware the Jem'Hadar was more than capable of killing her with his bare hands if he so choose. (DS9 novel: Avatar, Book Two)

There are also staff with no prefix, these are game producers. They most often work behind the scenes.

Jade is also using a bō staff as her main weapon style in Mortal Kombat: Deception and Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. She is also seen wielding one in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and Mortal Kombat Trilogy.

- The Staff was a piece of booby-trapped loot that was collected by Sly Cooper in the job "Dark Caves." After collecting both the staff and moon stone, they were re-combined to form The Guru's Staff. The staff cannot be sold on ThiefNet.
- A staff is a long stick made out of metal and has a gem on top. You can use a staff for Symbology.

The other, used by Clu's Black Guard, is formed from two batons combined together with a symmetrical shaft of bright energy extending from the ends. es:Vara
- On Marapets, there are a number of staff members who are chosen by the site leader to help members. The most popular of these staff are MidnightSunrise (Middy) and Indigo (Indy) both of which are well known for helping members of all ages. A simple wooden pole, the staff is a common item used to make many other things. Using the [M]ake menu, it can quickly and easily be carved from a slender tree trunk using a cutting weapon. The best tool for this task is a handaxe. - Game Encyclopedia

- Staff (ang. kostur) jest najsłabszą magiczną bronią w RuneScape. Gracze mogą go kupić u Zaff's Superior Staffs! w Varrock za 15 sztuk złota.

- For the full list (on Kongregate) and online status, please see StaffFriend. You can help Kongregate Wiki by adding any Administrator that isn't already listed here. If you're looking for the list of Moderators, click here. Staff are referred to with multiple aliases, which include: Administrators, Admins, and Kongregate Staff. Administrators not only have the same privileges as every type of Moderator (Chat Moderators, Forum Moderators and Curators), but also have extra administrative powers, including being able to control player's points amount, add and remove badges, add and remove games, change usernames etcetera. They are also entitled to ban a user indefinitely, but this is done in the more severe cases. Silencing is the equivalent of a global mute - for a specified time, a user is unable to talk in chat, shouts, private messages or the forums. This specified time (and usually a reason) is chosen by the Moderator or Administrator dependent on the severity of the incident. The most common reasons include spamming, harassment, overly sexual language, excessive swearing, hateful language, inappropriate forum posts or chain comments. Banning blocks the user's access to the site - this entails all the effects of silencing, but also disallows your account from being able to log on for a specified time. As with silencing, a reason is usually added, and both the time and the reason are chosen by the Moderator or Administrator. Banning can last up to a week for very severe cases, and can even be extended permanently be an administrator if needs be. The most common reasons include uploading stolen games, an inappropriate username or avatar, posting inappropriate links, or a general troll account. __TOC__

- Staves are a type of weapon found in WoTMUD. Staves come in both one-handed and two-handed varieties. The one-handed varieties, combined with a shield, offer superior defense. One-handed staves offer poor damage but the highest PB of all weapon types. Two-handed staves offer better damage and also have very high PB. All staves are mended with sandstones. Practicing this skill gives residual practices to Axes and Clubs.

Staves can receive Item Powers that alter the Hero's Ranged Attack, making it more dangerous in one way or another. Staves will never alter any of the Hero's other attack types, if present at all.

- Staff is the supportive weapon of Onigiri. Staff users are a must have in parties as they deal healing and high grade buffs to members. Staves are close range weapons but also possess some long range single target skills and close range AoE skills for attacking enemies. Their skills are divided into the following types.
* Long ranged skills
* Close ranged auto attack single-Target
* Skills- Single Target + Aoe
* Low Attack Power Staves can also be used to recover SP, and staff skills are mainly based on the MND stat. As a general rule of thumb, restorative and buff spells require a minimum of skill rank * 10 mind, but there are some exceptions such as Rapid Storm, which appear to require only skill rank * 7.5 mind.
- In order to help run the game day-to-day, Mech Crusaders has a team of staff, made up of otherwise normal players. The only "benefit", in addition to powers and access for their respective position, is that their VIC days do not drop below 1, if a staff member has 0 VIC days, a day will be added to their account. The staff team is divided up into several departments. Each department has specific powers and responsibilities, and most have one or more 'Heads', who have more powers/responsibilities than the rest of their respective teams. The departments include:
- The lovely staff of Arelith. Alphabetic list is available . Current details for contacting most of the staff members can be usually found from their profiles on forums. Those are easily accessible from The team list. Please, read the guide to contacting DMs before sending them private messages.

- The Staff is a type of talisman for the monk. It contains their Fire skills.
The Staff is best used against lightweight enemies without ranged attacks, such as the Gargoyle, the Golem and especially the Sabreclaw, which is not a suitable target for the Gauntlets. A skilled player can dispatch these enemies quickly and with impunity, even in sizable groups. It can be also used, with care, on more versatile enemies such as the Undead Warrior, although some quick footwork will be necessary to avoid incoming projectiles.

Staves are often the preferred weapons of casters. This is because they often have large stats or provide bonuses that boost casting spells. With the introduction of the Burning Crusade expansion, the game has introduced a number of staves with stats befitting melee classes; many staves have been appearing that are designed for feral and guardian-spec'd druids and various monk specs, with melee stats and enormous bonuses to . There are a few staves with bonuses, but they are mostly anomalies and although warriors could use them, they are not preferred. The only classes not able to wield staves are paladins, death knights, demon hunters, and rogues. The list of trainers can be found here: Weapons trainers. For Alliance casters, the first great staff to be found is in the Deadmines, the . If this is not obtainable, the quest reward is an acceptable substitute. For Horde casters, the first great staff found is a quest reward for doing Wailing Caverns, the , or , that is obtained from quest chain from Ghostlands. Both of these are rewards from a long quest chain you solo before entering the respective dungeons. Characters high enough to go to the Scarlet Monastery should run the library to get the from Arcanist Doan. No craftable staff was possible before the Mists of Pandaria Expansion. The partial exceptions (created by a quest process) were and , but both of their sources were removed with the Cataclysm expansion.

- The structure of the staff for STAR WARS: Dark Horizons MUSH has been redesigned for consistency. Palpatine ("Gulp") owns the Game, and sets general direction and handles extraordinary appeals with the assistance of the MUSH Wizards. If the Owner or Wizards ask you to do something, please comply. Owner and Wizard decisions are final and cannot be appealed. The second tier of staff is the Storytellers (split into several grades, from probationary Storytellers who are trying the role on for size but cannot run major events to the Senior Storytellers who will orchestrate major plot arcs). Storytellers, as their name implies, exist to bring our game-world to life. They will RP the NPCs, the faceless crowds, the quest givers, and so on. They will GM for you, act as judges when you attempt unusual or difficult deeds, and continually weave and enrich your story.
