It is used by more than 20 federal agencies for border enforcement needs and the sharing of border enforcement and traveler entry/exit information. The primary mission of the system is to support the agency in the prevention of terrorist entry into the United States and the enforcement of U.S. laws related to trade and travel. The system processes over 2 million transactions daily.
