  • Joseph Martin Silipo (born December 31, 1957 at Glen Cove, New York) was a Canadian and American football player in three professional football leagues. An offensive lineman and a graduate of Tulane University, Silipo played two games with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League in 1981. He then moved to the USFL, where he played with the Denver Gold in 1983 and the San Antonio Gunslingers in 1984 and 1985. In 1987 he was a NFL strike replacement player with the Buffalo Bills, playing 1 game. His son, Joe Silipo Jr., was a long snapper with the University of Colorado Buffaloes.
