In 1959, the Trojan business was sold to him and in 1974, they entered 8 F1 races and started 6. Its driver was the Australian Tim Schenken, who had a best finish of 10th in Belgium and Austria. Peter stayed involved with the car and bike world (Peter managed the Suzuki team and was a huge help to Barry Sheene), and attended many Trojan events in his role as patron, in which role he remained until his death. Charlie, his son, is a historic racer.
