| abstract | - Beastfolk, or Beastmen, are the unnatural result of Arcane Permeation combining beast and mortal. Most Beastfolk reside from present day Volvar, where permeating Arcane energies plagued the main landmass and a majority of Volvar's residents perished in 3E 1164. Beastfolk within Volvar are not violent by nature, but they are often assumed to be due to the fact their main colony is warring with some native Volvarians mages, who view them as abominations. This colony is located within the ruined city once known as Ashmoor, now assumed by the Beastfolk under self-proclaimed mayor Harley MaCrough. Under his leadership, they are attempting to form a civilization of their own. In greater Aevonhold, Beastfolk are created through controlled permeation by magical experimentation or further anomalies outside of Volvar.
