Kira Nerys told the story to an injured Benjamin Sisko in 2372 in order to keep him awake. (DS9: "Starship Down") In an interesting twist, Sisko tells Kira the story in the novel Warpath after she was left injured and unconscious by a Jem'Hadar attack. The Star Trek Encyclopedia (3rd ed., p. 509) titles the story "The three brothers who went to Jo'Kala".
