After nineteen somewhat apathetic years, Kuun was discovered by a Jedi Knight from Luke Skywalker's Praxeum. The Jedi, detecting Jorus' high Force sensitivity, offered him to be taken to the academy for training. Jorus accepted, leaving his home and family behind. Later, Jorus' parents were killed during an Imperial attack on Dorin. When the news reached him, Jorus became depressed, having not known his family nearly as much as he wanted to. Eventually, Kuun's destiny would be changed by Dark Jedi Jaden Korr, who, assisted by Imperial Remnant forces, led a raid on the Jedi Praxeum. Jorus was captured in the attack. Jaden, having sensed the Kel Dor's incredible potential, bent him to the dark side. Kuun was then sent to Thule, along with other captured Jedi, for survival training. While on the rocky world, Jorus' life was saved by Darth Persia, a Dark Lord of the Sith, who had also saw a potentially incredible underling in him. Persia convinced Jorus to join his cause, and Kuun survived the rest of his training course. Jaden Korr accepted Jorus into his small cadre of Dark Jedi, and Jorus, having secretly been given the title of Darth Imperious, participated in missions and battles for the Dark Order of Korr. For months, he and Darth Persia waited and prepared for an opportunity to kill Jaden and take command of his forces. That opportunity came in the year 15 ABY, during a battle on Bakura, where Darth Persia was coordinating a fleet battle while Jaden was inside a military installation below. Deciding that the Order had gained enough planets and military strength that Jaden was no longer needed, Persia sent Imperious to Bakura's surface to kill Jaden. Although Imperious was severely wounded while battling Jaden and Jedi Master Kyle Katarn, he escaped and Jaden was killed in a massive orbital bombardment, which eventually destroyed the surface of the planet. Afterward, Imperious and Persia successfully took over the Dark Order, replacing it with a new Sith Empire, which would expand across the Outer Rim.
