| abstract | - Ronnie Newman is a former NASCAR driver from Salem, VA. He competed in four Craftsman Truck Series events in his career. Newman's debut came in 1996, when he competed at Martinsville. Starting 35th in the field of thirty-six, Newman crashed late in the event and finished a disappointing 26th. Newman's other three races came in 1999, when he started the year off at Memphis. Completing all but eleven laps there, Newman finished 27th, the only race at which he would be running at the end. That fact was made a reality by struggling in his final two races, blowing an engine to finish 29th at Bristol and finishing 32nd at Nazareth due to a fuel pump issue.
