The Jedi were still not welcome in the galaxy, and few were on the run from slavers and bandits. One particular Jedi Knight brought a band of slavers close to their home, seeking shelter. Protecting his family, Alyxis' father refused to harbor the Jedi, in fear of the slavers coming to his house. Little did he know, they weren't far away, and raided his home. The Jedi escaped, but the slavers killed Alyxis' parents, and introduced her to the slavery. She was taken to Nar Shaddaa, and enslave to a Twi'lek crimelord. After a few years of being under his control, an armored man came into the estate with several other aliens. From what she could gather, they were accepting a job from her master. As soon as they came, they were gone. Any hope of her getting away would not come. She survived a few more weeks, and then something unexpected happened. Several armored men entered the estate, demanding something. She came to see what was going on when she heard shouting, and one of them approached her. He took of his helmet, and spoke to her. He was the same man in partial armor she had seen before. He promised to rescue her, and he did. A fight broke out in the estate, and the people rescuing her got out without a scratch. They took her to a ship, and introduced themselves. They were Mandalorians. The man she had seen before said his name was Atin Ordo. He gave her a choice to come with them or go somewhere else. Being shy, and having not spoken to anyone for a long time, she did not say anything. Atin could not figure out where to take her, and someone else in the ship said something to make her act. His friend, Shukur said that they couldn't leave her with the Jedi, and she finally spoke when she heard that word. She asked Atin to teach her how to kill the Jedi. He asked why, and she told him how they brought death to her family. He agreed, and adopted her as Runi. There she became his daughter, Runi Ordo.
