After playing 15 games for the New Brunswick Hawks in 1980-81 he jumped to the HC Gap team in France. The next season he played for Innsbruck EV in Austria. Daigle closed out his career with two seasons with the Sherbrooke Jets and retired in 1984. He played 389 career NHL games, scoring 56 goals and 50 assists for 106 points.
