The television sets were marketed under the brand name "Mandelia". This was not the only "first" to his credit. He also setup an advertising agency, MAPP Advertising, to promote his products. His advertising agency also released the first advertisement on Indian television network Doordarshan for Grasim Gwalior Suitings. He was also one of the first Indian's to venture into computer animation with his company The Fourth Dimension Digital Studios, for animation and music. Unfortunately, always being ahead of his time did not prove to be profitable. Being unable to sustain losses in his television manufacturing unit, he eventually shut it down in the late 1970's. The television boom in India started shortly after. His advertising agency MAPP Advertising and The Fourth Dimension Digital Studios, still do thriving business in the face of severe competition. His blazing career was cut short by a fatal cardiac arrest on 29th March 1997, when he was just 47 years old.
