  • A highly liberal cartoon trying to turn your kids into animal huggers and evolutionists. It suggests mice can be intelligent and that their plots to take over the world are funny, not a threat. It attempts to subvert The Bible by tricking our children into thinking pinkos and brains are cute. Dr. Stephen Colbert first warned of it at the opening of the February 7, 2007 Colbert Report when describing that night's interview with Stephen Pinker as Pinker and the Brain.
  • Performer(s) Appeared in Pinky and the Brain are a pair of animated characters from the animated television series Animaniacs, who proved to be so popular that they also starred in their own series later on. They are two genetically-altered laboratory mice typically depicted living in a cage in Acme Labs. Brain, the shorter of the two, is the smarter of the two, as his name suggests, while Pinky is the taller, dim-witted one who frequently lets his mind wander. Each night, the two embark on enacting Brain's plans to take over the world, as he believes he would do a better job running it than the humans, though they never succeed at this task. Despite his scheming, self-centered and short-tempered personality, however, Brain does have a soft and tender side that is shown on certain occasion
  • In the Spring Break Special, Pinky and the Brain make cameo appearances as two of the caged pets when Elmyra announces that she is going to catch the Easter Bunny, whom she believes is Buster Bunny. (The epilogue to the special ends up confirming this to be true.) Both Pinky and the Brain appeared alongside Elmyra in the short-lived and ill-fated spin-off, Pinky, Elmyra, and the Brain. Their cameo appearances above, as well as Elmyra's line in the latter, may be a possible foreshadowing.
  • Created by John Milton, the show was a spin-off of the popular TBS drama Mutilatrix 3000. Each body part was originally ripped from their owners in excruciatingly painful ways on Mutilatrix 3000, but despite this, Pinky and the Brain is actually a comedic and whimsical show. Certain hints about dark pasts are dropped in every few episodes, however.

Pinky and the Brain is an unusual cartoon show in that, while it was intended for a young viewing audience, it contains several aspects commonly saved for more mature entertainment, including gross-out humor, exceedingly sharp political satire, social commentaries, full frontal nudity, sexual innuendo and Jeff Goldblum's frequent nude cameos.
