(TXF: "Shadows") In 1997, images of a missing child appeared on a billboard in Arlington. The local FBI field office classified this as an X-File and sent the reports to FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder. (TXF: "Never Again") In February 1998, Ronnie Strickland was sent to the Dallas coroner after being staked by Special Agent Fox Mulder. (TXF: "Bad Blood") In August 1998, the Syndicate used an explosion at a building across the street from the Texas Federal Building in order to destroy four bodies infected with the black oil and get attention away from the events in Blackwood County. FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were able to discover the bomb when investigating a false threat to the federal building. They were able to evacuate the building, but Syndicate operative SAC Darius Michaud stayed behind, claiming to defuse the bomb. This disaster cost $45 million to the city of Dallas. After the disaster, the Federal Emergency Management Agency investigated and recovered the five bodies with the help of the local FBI field office. (The X-Files Movie)
