abstract
  • Alien3 is a 1992 side-scrolling shooter video game developed by Probe Software and published by Arena Entertainment for the SEGA Master System, SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive and Commodore 64. It is based on the film of the same name. Ports for the Amiga home computer and Nintendo Entertainment System were published by Virgin Games and LJN, respectively, while a version for the SEGA Game Gear was released in 1994 by Arena Entertainment. The Master System/Mega Drive title is just one of four video games created to tie into the release of Alien3. Also produced were a Game Boy game, a Nintendo Entertainment System game and a Super Nintendo Entertainment System game. Despite the fact all four were released under the title Alien3, gameplay actually varies quite substantially across the four titles.
