W Korioli urządza się tzw. tauridy , czyli walki taureadorów z minotaurami.
  • The Minotaur was the offspring of the Cretan Queen Pasiphae and a majestic bull. Due to the Minotaur's monstrous form, King Minos ordered the craftsman, Daedalus, and his son, Icarus, to build a huge maze known as the Labyrinth to house the beast. The Minotaur remained in the Labyrinth receiving annual offerings of youths and maidens to eat. He was eventually killed by the Athenian hero Theseus.

Monster Memory
  • Once thought to be a legend, these muscular humanoids with a bull's head are now frighteningly real. At home in the twisting underground labyrinths, these cursed beings search for unwelcome visitors, who are given a very violent greeting. With those horns that seem sharp enough to pierce plate mail, you hope it doesn't see the red blood on your weapon.

  • Minotaurs are cross-breeds of humans and bulls. They live in great caves where they even build proper towns. Furthermore, they arrange troops that repel every intruder from their empire. Minotaurs are average fighters, but organised as a military squad they can be quite dangerous.

  • Pseudo-Apollodorus, Bibliotheca 3. 8 - 11 :"Minos aspired to the throne [of Krete], but was rebuffed. He claimed, however, that he had received the sovereignty from the gods, and to prove it he said that whatever he prayed for would come about. So while sacrificing to Poseidon, he prayed for a bull to appear from the depths of the sea, and promised to sacrifice it upon its appearance. And Poseidon did send up to him a splendid bull. Thus Minos received the rule, but he sent the bull to his herds and sacrificed another . . . Poseidon was angry that the bull was not sacrificed, and turned it wild. He also devised that Pasiphae should develop a lust for it. In her passion for the bull she took on as her accomplice an architect named Daidalos . . . He built a woden cow on wheels, . . . skinned a real cow, and sewed the contraption into the skin, and then, after placing Pasiphae inside, set it in a meadow where the bull normally grazed. The bull came up and had intercourse with it, as if with a real cow. Pasiphae gave birth to Asterios, who was called Minotauros. He had the face of a bull, but was otherwise human. Minos, following certain oracular instructions, kept him confined and under guard in the labyrinth. This labyrinth, which Daidalos built, was a “cage with convoluted flextions that disorders debouchment." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pseudo-Apollodorus, Bibliotheca 3. 213 :"The god [Delphoi oracle] told them [the Athenians] to give Minos whatever retribution he should chose . . . He ordered them to send seven young men and seven girls, unarmed, to be served as food to the Minotauros. The Minotauros was kept in a labyrinth, from which there was no escape after one entered, for it closed off its imperceivable exit with convoluted flexions. It had been constructed by Daidalos." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pseudo-Apollodorus, Bibliotheca E1. 7 - 1. 9:"Theseus was on the list of the third tribute to the Minotauros . . . [Ariadne] pleaded with Daidalos to tell her the way out of the labyrinth. Following his instructions, she gave Theseus a ball of thread as he entered. He fastened this to the door and let it trail behind him as he went in. He came across the Minotauros in the furthest section of the labyrinth, killed him with jabs of his fist, and then made his way out again by pulling himself along the thread."

Strategy
  • If you are in Rookgaard, avoid attacking them alone, unless you have Small Health Potions. In the mainland, they should not pose a major threat to a prepared adventurer.

  • Minotaur is the name given to a specific form of giant beastman, which combines the physical and mental attributes of Human and bull - and occasionally those of other creatures as well. These ferocious monsters of Chaos are brutal in behaviour and perverted in thought, with insatiable appetites for living flesh. They delight in tearing live victims apart and eating their flesh before their eyes. Warm flesh and blood has an intoxicating effect on Minotaurs and their feeding sessions quickly become orgies of savagery and torture. Their favourite food is man, but they will eat most living creatures and will even turn to cannibalism if they cannot find any other source of food. Minotaurs may be found deep within the ancient forests of the Old World, from where they mount spectacular hunting raids on small towns and other settlements, often accompanied by other Chaos Beastmen and Warriors Of Chaos. They are fearsome fighters, but their brutish intelligence prevents them from using weapons of any complexity or manufacturing their own weapons or armour.
  • Minotaurs are brutally strong, very fast and enjoy running like nothing else. Their patrols will be seen dashing across the landscape with great speed. In an area infested with minotaurs, players would do well to examine their patrols quickly and keep an eye on their radar, as they can blindside a party easily. All minotaurs in the game seem to suffer from limited intelligence; after they have been hit, they take a few moments to start attacking. Sometimes a player will attack them and they will continue running for a bit (often activating their stance as you come into range), stop, and come back to retaliate. In addition to "true" minotaurs, the minotaur family is suspected to include other forms of monstrous cattle encountered in the Far Shiverpeaks.
  • In Motaro's Mortal Kombat: Armageddon ending, after he defeated the elemental creature Blaze atop the Pyramid of Argus, the Centaurians were finally freed of this wretched curse, and were able to revert to their prior form before seeking retribution on their mortal enemy, the Shokans, for this treachery.
  • The Minotaur is a member of Circe's Bestiamorph Army.
  • The Minotaur was the guardian of the powerful Star Sword and was consigned to prevent it from being taken.
  • The Game consists of players roaming a randomly generated maze in which Weapons, spells, armor, and other miscellaneous objects are scattered around. Also roaming around are stalkers, spider like creatures that damage a player when they make contact and can't be killed.
  • A giant with a bull's head and stocky body. This race is born to fight, so they constantly await new challengers. If they wait too long they beat on themselves to them, power is absolute. They choose their king from a tournament, No king lasts too long, as the challengers are in no short supply.
  • This hulking, bovine humanoid combines strength and frightening cunning into a potentially deadly package.
  • Minotaurs are an elite, somewhat aloof group of humanoid creatures, who believe themselves to be far better than other races. They were originally created as a magical experiment designed to make the perfect race, and their ancestry is revealed by the fact that they have the head and tail of a bull. Minotaurs are covered with thick, warm fur, and thrive on the arctic continent of Avros. Standing almost seven feet tall, Minotaurs are resistant to disease, poison, and bashing weapons. While they are by nature excellent fighters, their arrogance sometimes causes them to underestimate their opponents. Minotaurs also refuse to train in classes that they consider beneath them, and are somewhat limited in their choice of profession. * Rogue * Wizard * Ranger * Psionic * Shaman * Barbarian * Cavalier

  • Rampaging beasts of the wilderness, the creatures are essentialy bulls on the top half, and humans on the bottom half. These creatures hit hard and have high endurance aswell as speed, making them a frightening adversary. They have a weakness to fast weapons.
• The Minotaur is a hybrid creature in Greek mythology that is part man and part bull. He was named Asterion at birth, after his mother's father-in-law
  • The Second Doctor and Zoe Heriot encountered the Minotaur in the Land of Fiction. It vanished when they denied its existence. (TV: The Mind Robber) The Third Doctor learned that the Minotaur was real during a trip to Atlantis. The creature was formerly a member of Dalios's court, a great athlete who desired the strength of a bull and a long life in which to use it. Kronos granted him his wish, and the creature was made guardian of the Crystal of Kronos until the Doctor defeated it. It likely died when Atlantis was destroyed by Kronos. (TV: The Time Monster) The Greek hero Theseus was renowned for fighting the Minotaur. The Fourth Doctor claimed to have given Theseus the ball of string that he used to find his way around the labyrinth in which the Minotaur resided. (TV: The Creature from the Pit) The Eighth Doctor, Charley Pollard and C'rizz encountered an illusory Minotaur on Caerdroia. (AUDIO: Caerdroia) Extraterrestrial life forms which resembled the Minotaur included the Nimons, a related species called the Minotaurs who were the Nimons' "distant cousins", the Tauride and Taureau's race. (TV: The Horns of Nimon, The God Complex, COMIC: Minor Trouble, COMIC: The Forgotten) A member of one of these species (or perhaps a different species) tended bar at Korova Moo. (COMIC: Agent Provocateur)
  • They are equipped with Torch Hammers as well as a Void shield. Like other Vex units, if their heads are shot off, they will enter a berserk state, but unlike other variants, they lack any sort of critical weakpoint.
  • Mathayus, Layla, and, Ari looking for a way into the Underworld to get the Sword of Damocles to kill the wicked Sargon, stumbles into a Labyrinth in Knossos, where Layla and Mathayus encounter a Minotaur and try to kill it they then get reinforcements from Ari, a group of mercenaries, and a lost Chinese man named Fung. Ari played the flute and soothed the Minotaur, giving Mathayus a chance to kill him. The Minotaur was thus, slain by Mathayus.
  • A Minotaur is a creature that is native to the planet Caltos. This creature had the head of a bull and the body of a man.
  • Groups of Minotaur-like creatures have been witnessed in some instances: * In Earth-12041, back in ancient Greece, commanded by Pluto. * In Hades, commanded by Persephone. Their origins and if they are related to the Minotaur is unknown.
  • The Minotaur is a creature that lived in a Labyrinth in Greece. People were sent to the labyrinth as punishment and were usually killed by the Minotaur. Eventually, a pregnant woman came and gave birth before she died to a child which she named Beranabus. Beranabus was crying and so the Minotaur fed him blood from his own mother and ended up training and bringing up Beranabus. Eventually, a warrior named Theseus came along and killed the Minotaur, which left Beranabus upset as he was a father-like figure to him.
  • In Greek mythology, the Minotaur (Greek: Μῑνώταυρος [miːnɔ̌ːtau̯ros], Latin: Minotaurus, Etruscan Θevrumineś), was a creature with the head of a bull on the body of a man or, as described by Roman poet Ovid, "part man and part bull". He dwelt at the center of the Cretan Labyrinth, which was an elaborate maze-like construction designed by the architect Daedalus and his son Icarus, on the command of King Minos of Crete. The Minotaur was eventually killed by the Athenian hero Theseus. The term Minotaur derives from the Ancient Greek Μῑνώταυρος, a compound of the name Μίνως (Minos) and the noun ταύρος "bull", translated as "(the) Bull of Minos". In Crete, the Minotaur was known by its proper name, Asterion, a name shared with Minos' foster-father. "Minotaur" was originally a proper noun in reference to this mythical figure. The use of "minotaur" as a common noun to refer to members of a generic race of bull-headed creatures developed much later, in 20th-century fantasy genre fiction.
  • Minotaurs are, in all likelihood, the mightiest race on the planet. But though they are colossally strong, they are most likely the least intelligent race. Minotaurs developed their first written language around 1,800 years ago. Due to their gigantic size, Minotaurs are also highly uncoordinated, and are susceptible to being out-maneuvered. In past ages the Minotaur Lords of the Karrstynn Forest have waged civil wars among themselves as well as several devastating assaults on the Elven kingdom of Oakhold.
  • The Minotaur is a half-bull, half-man creature from Greek mythology. He was being held in Sword of the Zenobians by Perkins until he was released by Tweed. He is currently a PageRunner, being pursued by Jurisfiction.
  • For years, the Winged Ones were forced to make an annual sacrifice to the Minotaur to keep the beast from wreaking havoc upon the Winged Ones' fair city. The Oracle prophesied that a whosoever scaled the Logic Cliffs was destined to defeat the Minotaur and rescue the Winged Ones. Alexander defeats the Minotaur by tricking him into falling into a fiery pit with the Red Queen's scarf. Another minotaur has since taken up residence in the catacombs since Alexander took over the kingdom.
  • In Greek mythology, the Minotaur was a creature with the head of a bull on the body of a man or, as described by Roman poet Ovid, "part man and part bull". The monster in the Cretan Labyrinth, which was a maze designed by the architect Daedalus and his son Icarus on the command of King Minos of Crete to contain the Minotaur. The Minotaur was slain by the legendary Greek hero, Theseus.
  • Minotaur is an earth-element based monster of which is located within The Magic City, Aglis. This is the most powerful monster in this location, and also the only one that isn't water-element based.
  • Minotaurs are furry ungulates found in the Vault of War within the Stronghold of Security. They are also found in Turael's/Spria's basement where they are level 44, however, the player must be on their slayer challenge in order to access it. They drop the right skull half, the first piece of the Skull sceptre. Many players train Ranged on these monsters, as they often drop iron arrows. Minotaurs are commonly used for training for low and mid level players, but some times even high level ones, because they have low strength and defence. However, their accuracy can be a problem for long training sessions, especially if the player has a low defence level or uses insufficient protection. They do hit high for their level so be sure to bring food. Setting up a dwarf cannon at Minotaurs can be a decent way to obtain an easy Clue Scroll.

  • The term Minotaur derives from the Ancient Greek Μῑνώταυρος, a compound of the name Μίνως (Minos) and the noun ταύρος "bull", translated as "(the) Bull of Minos".
  • The minotaur, H, is an especially deadly NetHack monster. Minotaurs are notoriously difficult to kill and deal out incredible amounts of damage, leading to many deaths by their hands even by experienced players. They are also infamous for being one of the few monsters to ignore Elbereth. Fortunately, they are never randomly generated. There is always at least one generated on each maze level and one on the Ranger quest home level. They can also be summoned by the Summon nasties monster spell. A minotaur has a 1/3 chance of getting a wand of digging (100% if on the Plane of Earth). To estimate how badly you can expect to be stomped, see armor class. Minotaurs are carnivorous. They cannot wear armor or wield weapons. They will open unlocked doors, but are stopped by locked doors and boulders, and, as they do not fly, all traps will affect them. Since they are not intelligent, they cannot make use of unicorn horns, amulets, potions of gain level, or unlocking tools.

  • Minotaurs are a race of bovine humanoids. The mythological background of this race of beings, which is by the way a recurring race in contemporary fiction, is an individual Minotaur in greek mythology, the offspring of a sexual relation between the queen of crete and a white bull sent by Poseidon. The acctual background story is more complex, but an overview should suffice. This individual Minotaur was a male with the head of a bull, or "part man and part bull" and, unlike what would befit a bovine, did not eat grass, but instead humans, which caused the king to confine it to a maze - the Labyrinth. Unlike mainy other beings of greek mythology, it was not one of a race of beings of its kind and was killed without any mention of generating offspring before. In a rare occurence in mythology, the Minotaur is a straight-forward human-animal hybrid in origin, not just appearance, even if in a fashion inconsistent with modern understanding of genetic inheritance, and that is its defining feature, not some sort of spirit/divine nature. Minotaurs usually have the head, horns, rear legs and feet of a bull or cow, and the torso, arms and hands of a human. They move in a bipedal fashion. Body hair may be present in abundance even on the human parts. Minotaurs are of a larger and broader build than humans and are stronger on average. They are not as intelligent as humans however, with their natural technological state being somewhat close to that of Orcs, however with less inclination for armor and metallurgy. In fiction, Minotaurs are often shown to wield large, double-handed axes, propably a reference to the Minoan Labrys. Contrary to what one would expect from a docile plant-eating race's addition to the human nature, they are quite ferocious, however this could be limited to the males' bull-nature and may not necessarily extend to females, which could be more cow-like in behaviour. * Minotaur - Warrior * Minotaur Besieger - Ranger * Minotaur Beleaguerer - Ranger * Minotaur Pioneer - Pioneer * Minotaur Vanguard - Gunner * Minotaur Stormer - Shock trooper/Storm trooper * Minotaur Guard * Minotaur Warden * Minotaur Keeper * Minotaur Jailer Skills * Siege II * Labrys

  • A beastman type monster with the characteristics of an ox. They are monster warriors that have freakish strength and can effortlessly swing enormous weapons. Their temperament is extremely rough, and since they don’t think much and their actions are guided by emotion, they are exceedingly dangerous monsters. They’re extremely ferocious, and when they spot a human man of their liking, they practically charge in and assault him immediately in an effort to force intercourse. Since they have boundless stamina, they take much pleasure in unilaterally raping men, and they like rough sex. Once they get a hold of a man, he’ll be forced to go along with it until he becomes exhausted and passes out. Also, since they get aroused when they see the color red, and become even more ferocious, if you’re wearing red clothes, it’s almost guaranteed that you’ll be targeted by these vicious beasts that have nothing in mind but greedily devouring a phallus with their vagina, so you should be careful. In this way, they are extremely dangerous monsters, but actually they are often encountered sleeping. They spend most their day sleeping. After eating they pretty much just go back to sleep right then and there. Something minor won’t wake them up. Also, after having sex with a human man, if they like the man, they’ll fall asleep while embracing him. Such a man won’t be released. He’ll start being treated as their husband. They tend to be very lazy. Only rarely do they take an active interest in anything other than eating, sleeping, and sex. On the contrary, they have a powerful interest in these three things. Food, sleep, and sex are the only things that are always on their mind, and especially after getting a husband, they become almost entirely occupied with having sex with him. Their daily life with their husband will largely be spent having sex with him, aside from when they’re eating or sleeping. It is said that when they go to sleep, sleeping while embracing their husband makes them happier than anything else. After having plenty of sex during the day, and becoming exhausted, they will sleep peacefully with their husband embraced in their arms. Eventually, once they awaken and see the dear face of their beloved in their arms, they’ll go and ravish him from first thing in the morning. Their day starts with rough sex with their man first thing after rising, and they will continue to have sex until sunset, they’ll hug their man and go back to sleep again with pleasant fatigue. Rinse, wash, and repeat.
  • Minotaurs: half man, half bull, but all real! Unlike myths like global warming and Africa, these "mythological" creatures are a threat to our nation's security. These sinister beasts are nearly as deadly a threat as bears. They spread their chaos by invading the thoughts of honest American heroes. Some psuedo-heroes, including former Taxachusetts Governor Mitt Romney are ignorant to the minotaur threat, probably because they have become contaminated by liberal filth. A minotaur may look like a disgusting slob, but they can kill 5 people with one swing of their vicious club made out of pure nothingness. Their nose ring is not only for helping them blend in the rest of society, but it can also be used as a floatation device. On that note, DO NOT try to drown a minotaur. It will live. You will Die. The only thing worst than Minotaurs (aside from bears) is minotaur polygamy. And the only thing worse than that is gay minotaur polygamy!
  • Minotaur is a minotaur monster created by Finster. It manages to cause mass havoc against Jason, Zack, and Billy while Trini and Kimberly are preoccupied fighting the putties at the waste dump. After the Minotaur grows, the Rangers regroup and call on their zords, but after a brief confrontation in Megazord Tank Mode, Zordon determines the monster is too much for the Rangers' zords. Zordon gives the Rangers their Power Weapons to battle the monster. When confronted by the Minotaur again, they bring their weapons together to form the Power Blaster and defeat the monster, and Minotaur vows to return one day. Minotaur would later appear on Eltar, fighting against Zordon's warriors there. He fights well against Alpha 5, who is fitted with cybernetic strength-enhancing armor plating, but is soon defeated by him after he gains the upper hand. He is turned good by Zordon's energy wave, and like with Puppetman before him, he vows a rematch against the princely robot to test his skills. He then joins several monsters in traveling to Earth where he hones his martial arts skills in several rough-and-tumble US neighborhoods.

  • Minotaurs are the basic minotaur-type monsters that are featured in Fate.
  • Minotaurs are mythical "half-man, half-bull" creatures from Ancient Greece. They are possessed with immense strength. One popular story involves the Minotaur waiting in the middle of a labyrinth to dispose of all attackers. When Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles "Tails" Prower ended up in a different dimension, Tails commented that he felt like he was in a maze which, soon enough, they were. He then mentioned the story of the Minotaur and one promptly appeared to attack the heroes. Sonic slowed it down with a Spin Attack, but saw no reason to continue attacking it. They later discovered that it was the creation of a Tantaror child who was playing with his new "pets". During their travels through the Ring of Eternity, Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary arrived in Ancient Greece and witnessed the Minotaur challenge an obese Hercules to a battle. The beast gloated as Hercules tripped over a chair and was about to land the killing blow when the girls stopped in and knocked the half-bull out. This Minotaur had a cameo at the end of the Eternity Ring story arc when Amy remembered all the dangers that could be faced if Fabian Vane went on a "universe tour". Minotaurs were "elite" henchmen of Sorcerer Blackspell and Ul-Tima in The Legend of the Golden Axe. These guards proved too strong for the magic powers of the three heroes, with one reflecting a cast boulder right at the head of Ax-Battler. They were later used by Blackspell to try and recapture Tyris-Flare, hoping to complete the resurrection of Dark Guld.
  • The Minotaur is rarely deployed by Imperial armed forces in the 41st Millennium, and is only fielded by specialised siege companies of the Imperial Guard. The origins of the Minotaur are clouded in mystery, as many Tech-adepts say that the mobile artillery piece served the Emperor during the Great Crusade, while others believe it may be even older, and that the Malcador heavy tank and the Minotaur share a common Standard Template Construct (STC) ancestor. There are frescoes adorning the walls of the Templis Nemesii on Terra that depict a war machine that resembles the Minotaur fighting during the Great Crusade, but the vehicle's age and complexity may be evidence that it is even older. During the 41st Millennium the Minotaur is a rare relic of war that very few will ever see, with the number of Forge Worlds capable of producing them having dropped steadily over the last millenia. With the steady replacement of this vehicle by the Basilisk, the Minotaur may soon become just another causality of war. Although it is rumoured that the Minotaur is stockpiled by the thousands inside of Departmento Munitorum storehouses, only specialised siege companies of the Imperial Guard will ever get to deploy their awesome firepower. During the Siege of Vraks, the Minotaur, along with another ancient design, the Valdor Tank Hunter, were uncovered by the Vraksian Traitor Militia in the deep storage facilities on the Armoury World of Vraks Prime. They were deployed late in the conflict known as the Siege of Vraks. The Departmento Munitorum believed that there were at least 100 Minotaurs stored on Vraks Prime and after the war was over following the Imperial victory, the remaining Minotaurs were turned over to the Adeptus Mechanicus to be re-consecrated back into the service of the Emperor.
  • A minotaur is a mythological creature from Greek legend that has the head of a bull and the body of a man. One such creature dwelt at the center of the Cretan Labyrinth, which was an elaborate maze-like construction designed by the architect Daedalus and his son Icarus, on the command of King Minos of Crete. The Minotaur was eventually killed by the Athenian hero Theseus. In the cartoon show episode "Trojan Smurfs", the castle of Petula's father is guarded by two minotaurs.
  • Greek mythology includes the tale of his downfall at the hands of a young man, named Theseus. King Minos held a feast every year to celebrate a sacrifice he extracted in revenge for his son's death at the hand of the vanquished Athenians during a past war. Every year fourteen Athenians (seven males and seven maidens) were released into the Labyrinth to be hunted and feasted upon by the Minotaur. On the third year of this celebration Theseus volunteered to become one of the sacrifices in order to slay the beast. Upon his arrival in Crete, he and both of the king's daughters Phaedra and Ariadne fell madly in love, and when he entered the Labyrinth, it was with a gift of a ball of twine from Ariadne so as to guide him out of the treacherous passages in which the beast made it's home. Theseus killed the Minotaur and retraced his steps using the twine.

  • The monster's given name was Asterix, suggested by some visiting Celts from Gaul. The beast is typically described in painting and sculpture as having a human body and a bull's head. Some writers have described him the other way around. Considering the combinations possible, it is a wonder that the Minotaur didn't end up as an amalgamation of two different butts. Experts in Greek mythology suspect that if the minotaur were born female, then the Borden's company would have adopted its mascot and symbol much, much earlier. The storyline would also then have been much different. Historians agree that the tale would have ended up as some sort of lesbian fanfic, which is within the canon of the soap opera that is Greek mythology.
