He came across Jack Goodenday, a Junior at the time, and asked him to join. He agreed. Soon after, he came across Jad and Mychal who were currently in a band, A common Cliche', and asked them to join. They had a few gigs before summer break 2007 and decided they would pick up where they left off once they returned from their various country's. 2007-2008. Amongst Skyscrapers returned in full affect after the summer holidays. They put out three new songs and had many gigs scheduled. At The DAA Full Moon Jam, they gathered many fans and became known as one of the best home grown dubai bands. Amongst Skyscrapers ties ran very close to Ghandi's Cookbook, another major dubai band, and performances from there on out became known as the ASS gig, or the Ghandi's cookbook gig, depending on which bands were playing at the specific performance. ASS was scheduled to play at the Arise Gig, in Abu Dhabi, this moment was a particularly important because it made ASS famous in two Emirates. After a while, the gigs were dying out, and they hadn't played for weeks. Then, Dorell started hosting Gig's at the Springs 7' skate park. ASS held multiple gig's there. At the final Durell Skate park gig of the year After ASS played the police showed up, they were there on reports of Teenagers Drinking Alcohol in the parking lot, and noise disruptions. Although ASS had already finished The Sparkplugs, another Dubai based band, were not allowed to play. ASS's last gig is scheduled for Thursday, June 5th. This will be the final ASS gig due to multiple band member's leaving abroad.
