  • Ice Cap is a species of monster the protagonist encounters in Snowdin Forest. If the protagonist does not kill any Ice Caps before battling Papyrus, they can be found as NPCs throughout Snowdin Forest.
  • Tau Ceti Prime had a polar ice cap. Around or before 2358, Vice admiral Janeway drowned underneath it. Kathryn Janeway was devastated by the incident. (VOY: "Coda") While not explicitly mentioned, the North and South poles of Earth also contain ice caps. Vulcan and the Akaali homeworld also seem to have at least one. However, apart from these examples very few planets, class M or otherwise, have been visually observed to have ice caps in Star Trek.
  • Ice cap is a card with decent attack, and the ability charge. Usually used as a disposable card when wanting to quickly dispatch an enemy. It's recommended to have at least one card with charge in your deck. Unlike Battlecry, you can choose if you want to use charge or not (since the charge ability allows you to attack with that monster immediately after being placed, you can decide whether or not you want to attack with it), however not using its charge ability would be a waste. Charged rendered redundant via Patience.

  • Silencing a card affected Patiences' passive freezing ability will not allow the monster to attack. Silence does not affect the natural cooldown time that monsters have to wait for.

If you decide not to use its charge ability, it's not recommended to place Ice Cap by itself on the board against Justice, as its passive ability would typically kill Ice Cap. Particularly useful when wishing to surprise the enemy, typically either via dealing the necessary damage to defeat the opponent that turn, or by removing a taunt to use your other cards to attack. Because of this, users of Ice Cap should typically try to use it at the last optimum moment so that the opponent doesn't have time to change tactics, it also means that Ice Cap typically shouldn't be used to dispose of enemies that can be destroyed by other monsters with lower, or equal attack. Charged rendered redundant via Patience.
