While none of the rest of the heroes in New York City involve themselves directly in the event, they are still affected by the events of the story in their own way. Numerous major events take place during this time, amongst them:
* Hobgoblin is bonded with the demon who would later be known as Demogoblin.
* A new team of Avengers would be formed, adding Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman and Gilgamesh
* The Power siblings' identities are revealed to their parents - although later the New Mutants provide an ad hoc explanation so that the parents can assume that the previous revelation was false.
