While Keldran did not seem to have former Warchief Thrall's official permission for the operation in Desolace, he was convinced that even Thrall was growing weary of the war with the Alliance. Keldran hoped that proving to the humans that the Horde no longer dealt with the Burning Legion would help make any possible peace talks with the Alliance easier. Keldran's mission in Desolace is considered to have been remarkably successful, despite the fact that the Burning Blade still maintains significant presence there. See List of Orgrimmar NPCs.
