Info
  • *Octavia throws an amplifier device in an arc toward the direction she aims. Upon impact, the amplifier transforms the ground into a dance floor, encompassing the surrounding terrain in a field of sound sensors with a radius of 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 meters for 30 seconds. While standing inside the Amp field, Octavia and her allies gain a scaling weapon damage multiplier with a minimum of 0.10x / 0.15x / 0.2x / 0.25x to a maximum of 1.25x / 1.5x / 1.75x / 2x, depending on the sound level in the environment. **Field radius is affected by Ability Range. **Duration is affected by Ability Duration. **Minimum and maximum damage multipliers are affected by Ability Strength. **Sounds originating from gunfire, footsteps, alarms, melee strikes, abilities such as Mallet, Resonator, and Metronome, and many more can affect Amp's damage multiplier. **Amp damage multiplier is displayed as an icon with the current damage multiplier in percentage, beside the shield and health indicator on the top-right of the HUD. *When Mallet is hovering over an Amp field from any Octavia player, the percussive aura will double in damage and range. *Can be recast while active to create a new Amp field. Octavia is limited to only 1 active Amp field at a time. *Casting Amp is not a One-Handed Action as it interrupts other actions, but allows movement. *Casting animation is affected by Casting Speed, such as from Natural Talent and Speed Drift. *Amp field sound sensors visually produce sound bars that enlarge, shrink, stretch vertically, horizontally and diagonally depending on Percussion, Bass, and Melody music from Octavia's other abilities. **Sound sensors will only visibly react to the owner Octavia's abilities and not from other Octavia players in a squad. This is a visual effect only, as the sound level in the environment does affect any Amp field's damage multiplier. *The thrown amplifier device serves both as a visual anchor point and generator for the Amp field. Nullifier Crewman's bubble must come in direct contact with the amplifier device to dispel this ability.

In London 1993/94 Richard’s ‘Green sky…’ inspired singer Karine Charff (b. France) and after joining Richard, AMP’s first single ‘Get There’ is released on Linda’s Strange Vacation Records. Both initially recorded some material at home and in Wales with friends Matt Elliot of ‘Third Eye Foundation’ and Matt Jones of ‘Crescent’. These recordings became their first 7" releases in 1995 and their first LP vinyl release 'Sirenes'. Amp continued to collaborate with a succession of artists from Robert Hampson of Loop and Main to Donald Ross Skinner of Prolapse and Julian Cope, creating many critically acclaimed records. They have 15 albums to their credit to date (2015). Richard Amp also releases solo work as A.M.P. Studio (now Amp Studio).

  • The Amp (also known as Electro-Chomp) is an enemy in Super Mario Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Mario Party 8. They are a small sub-species of Chain Chomps with faces that usually have two closed eyes and a smiling mouth. In New Super Mario Bros Wii, they have eyes. Pieces of electricity circles around them. Amps don't really move. They usually circle in place. Amps can be found in World 3's Fortress . They can be defeated by freezing them with the Ice Flower's/Penguin Suit's powers and Ground Pounding the Ice Block they are trapped in, by touching them while under the effects of the Starman or by throwing a frozen enemy in its Ice Block at them, however, if Mario (or Luigi, Blue Toad, Yellow Toad) touches an Amp, they will lose a form or die at small form. In Super Mario Galaxy they are found in the Buoy Base Galaxy, the Battlerock Galaxy, and Dreadnought Galaxy. They have the same two closed eyes and a smiling mouth, however their eyes and mouth are red instead of yellow. They are mobile in this game, and they usually move in circles. There are also Amps that are large, faceless orbs. They still move and behave like the Amps with faces in the game. Amps cannot be defeated. In Super Mario Galaxy 2, Amps reappear behaving the same as in the prequel. They have their same appearance from Super Mario Galaxy. They can now be defeated, however, they can only be defeated by touching them while under the effects of the Rainbow Star. These enemies appear in the Sky Station Galaxy, Spin-Dig Galaxy and the Space Storm Galaxy. In both Super Mario Galaxy and its prequel, if Mario/Luigi touches an Amp, they will lose one wedge of health from their Health Meter, as well as be electrocuted. In Mario Party 8, an Amp appears in the mini-game, Spector Inspector, where they are one of the enemies that needed to be found. It is under a cover on the table.
