The Fallen Challengers are the Five children of Hades and represent the five points of the pentagram. The Fallen challengers are Erinyes, Zagreus, Melinoe, Makaria and Minos. The Fallen Exiles, are key players in the events of the game. The leader, described as a 'caped creature', is later revealed as the Darkness, and revealed much later in the series as Hades himself. The Bound, the Gagged and the Blind, are his guardians, representing the three faces of the Cerberus, the three headed hound that guards the gates of Hell.
