Meanwhile, Ryan Wilson and his partner, Mark Frost, investigate the bombing of Washington D.C's famous Metrolink station. While the case points to an innocent Sangheili and a not-so-innocent human, he begins to enlist the help of an outsider. Tension rises and they find clues taking them into the Russian Criminal Syndicates territory. With dangerous foes emerging and time drawing to a close, Ryan must find the person responsible for the bombings as well as track down Josh's assassin.
