  • The trebuchet is a powerful siege weapon that can be found in the Fort Ranik mission as well as in some PvP scenarios (outside the Guild Hall). It is different to a ballista in such as it has to be armed before it can be fired. To arm a trebuchet, the lever beside it has to be pulled once. Another activation of the lever will trigger the shot. Trebuchets have unlimited ammunition. Trebuchet damage appears to come in the form of the skill Statue's Blessing.
  • Trebuchets use a lever arm to hurl a projectile in an arcing ballistic trajectory toward their target. Yet that simple mechanism is employed in many different manners on the battlefield.
  • Bombard/Stop Bombard - The Trebuchet will fire endlessly at the target area until the button is pressed again or the Trebuchet is moved. Causes damage to all units and structures hit by the boulder. Auto Aquire/Halt Auto Aquire - The Trebuchet will automatically acquire enemy buildings or units. If pressed it will no longer do so and must be explicitly ordered to target units or buildings.
  • The trebuchet is a gravity based catapult. A long arm behind a pivot point is set in to the ground with a sling full of ammunition, while the same arm on the other end has a heavy weight. The long arm is whip-like, so when the arm is released, the ammo is flung whip-like in to the air, increasing its maximum effective range, but decreasing general accuracy.
  • The Trebuchet itself is too massive to damage it directly, and is located deep in the magma-filled pit right in the middle of the map. To disable the siege engine, players need to approach it from the south-west, until the gates open. Inside, two Blood Clan Khazra Maulers and one Blood Clan Shaman guard the controlling device. Destroying the device will cause the Trebuchet to collapse into molten magma. Visually, it resembles Catapults from Diablo II. The ammunition is conjured immediately before the shot.
  • The Trebuchet is the Men of the West's siege unit, known for its numerous deployment across the battlements of Minas Tirith.

  • A trebuchet was built and used by Locke and Boone in an attempt to break the glass on the hatch in "Deus Ex Machina". It failed to have any noticeable impact but split apart, wounding Locke's leg. Locke said their trebuchet could deliver "a half ton of force", while Boone did not know how a trebuchet differed from a regular catapult, admitting he probably couldn't even spell it.
  • Trebuchets arrived to Rokugan with the Return of the Ki-Rin, an unorthodox and eerily siege weapons the nomads used. Once the Unicorn settled upon a fighting ground, they chose to fortify their position with these small siege weapons as well as soldiers.
  • The Trebuchet is an animal weapon in Worms Forts: Under Siege, accessible through the Citatel. When selected, a brown moose filled with explosives will be launched. The Trebuchet has fuse time, and if it hits the building before the time is out, it will bounce away, like the Fridge Launcher.
  • A trebuchet is a Northern siege weapon. It makes use of the mechanical advantage of a lever.

  • The Trebuchet is constructed at the Castle in its packed form. It must spend about 8-10 seconds setting up in order to attack, during which it is unable to either attack or move. However, the unpacking process can be canceled instantly if necessary to move to a safer location. When playing as the Japanese, Kataparuto gives Trebuchets a shorter pack/unpack time. It can target, attack and remove trees to allow free passage. Onagers, however, perform this task better and all the trees in the area of their splash damage are destroyed.
  • The trebuchet is a siege engine and an advanced version of the catapult.

A long wooden arm with a basket at the end was fastened with a system of ropes and gears to a strong wooden platform, which was mounted on wheels, enabling the trebuchet to shoot a projectile, such as a barrel of liquid fire, placed in the basket a long distance. When a certain rope was undone, the trebuchet's wooden arm would hurl the barrel into the oncoming ranks of the enemy soldiers.
  • The Trebuchet is a heavy weapon that fires massive bolts of plasma at long distances. The figures displayed for damage are for a full 23 second charge. Two fully upgraded and charged Trebuchets can deal 35,000 at once, making them strong against Carnages, Cossacks and Stalkers. The Trebuchet charges up and fires its entire charge at once. It can be fired at any time during the charge period for reduced damage, but full charge takes 20 seconds plus a 3 second cool down. However, the Trident is much more common to see amongst Furies\Carnages due to higher DPS and excellent anti-ECU splash damage.
  • The Trebuchet is the siege weapon of the Gauls. It is used to bring havoc to the enemy village's buildings and resource fields. The Trebuchet should always be accompanied with other troops in order to reduce losses - as they have a very low attack value for their cost. Although a knight would never stoop so low as to operate a missile weapon himself, let alone a war machine. That is not to say that he could not grudgingly see the strategic worth of it, and therefor allows his low-born servants to use them. The first Bretonnian trebuchet is believed to have been constructed in the small village of D'Ason, on the north coast of Lyonesse. It is said that an eccentric bastard child, a pious young man prone to fits and visions, built the war machine in a single night of feverish activity. Using parts of the crumbling, Grail Chapel of Adelhard the Second, as well as pieces scrounged from various other sources. When the village was attacked by northern raiders, it was this construction that fended them off, firing massive chunks of masonry to sink the marauders' longships. The young man was later presented to the king, and his were designs copied and improved upon. For saving the village and maintaining the purity of the Grail chapel (though it was now even more ruinous than before), the young man was gifted with a fatted pig and two copper crowns - more wealth than he could have hoped to see in a lifetime.

The Broddring Empire's trebuchets caused terrific damage to the Varden's army during the Battle of The Burning Plains. However, Eragon managed to destroy many of them by taking over the minds of the guards standing near the trebuchets and forcing them to hack through the ropes which held the trebuchets' arms in place.

The Trebuchet can deliver a huge burst of damage when fully charged. It should be noted that the Nashorn has a higher DPM compared to the Trebuchet; however, due to recent Ancile fix, the Trebuchet became very useful on some maps like Yamantau, Canyon or Springfield again. However, the Trident is much more common to see amongst Furies\Carnages due to higher DPS and excellent anti-ECU splash damage.

Even the mighty strongholds favoured by the Chinese cannot hope to stand alone if faced by a barrage of trebuchets.pt:Oficina_de_assédio#Trabuco All this power, however, has a great cost. Trebuchets require a great deal of research to be constructed. Next is their cost: like all siege weapons, they are all costly and take some time to create, and finally they must be set up in a static position in order to fire. Because of their poor rate of fire and their accuracy, trebuchets are weak if facing enemy troops, but generally useful for disabling enemy artillery, especially culverins and war wagons, and fortifications. Trebuchets like most siege weapons require time to be set up, and even so they are fairly weak against mobile targets, so they should be protected from enemy units at all times. However, it is to be noted that the trebuchet, while having better range, has a poorer attack and build time in contrast with a bombard once the Imperial Era is achieved. In which case, a bombard may be a better weapon to manufacture, given its cost structure and relative ease of construction, and its ability to crack apart fortresses with more potency than a trebuchet, given that trebuchets, while being cheaper than gunpowder weaponry, have a high ramp associated with them.

At level 10 of the Rally Point, every building except the Cranny, Stonemason, and Trapper can be targetted.
  • A trebuchet (French trébuchet) is a siege engine used in the Middle Ages. It is sometimes called a counterweight trebuchet or counterpoise trebuchet, to distinguish it from an earlier weapon called the traction trebuchet, which employed pulling men working the mechanism. The counterweight trebuchet appeared in both Christian and Muslim lands around the Mediterranean in the 12th century. It could fling projectiles weighing up to 350 pounds (160 kg) at or into enemy fortifications. Its use continued into the 15th century, well after the introduction of gunpowder. The trebuchet's technical constructions were lost at the beginning of the 16th century. In 1984, the French engineer Renaud Beffeyte made the first modern reconstruction of a trebuchet, based on documents from 1324.

The three chief distinguishing characteristics of a trebuchet are: * The machine is powered exclusively by gravity; most often directly by means of a counterweight, though sometimes indirectly (such as in a traction trebuchet). * Such force rotates a throwing arm, usually four to six times the length of the counterweight arm, to multiply the speed of the arm and, eventually, the projectile. * The machine has a sling affixed to the end of the throwing arm, acting as a secondary fulcrum, to further multiply the speed of the projectile.
