Five months later, in 2259, the Chech'Iw once again met the Dauntless, this time at Arkenite mining asteroid, Azha-R7a. This encounter did not end in hostilities, however. Instead, the Dauntless's chief medical officer, Ezekiel Fisher, saved Gorkon's son Kintazh's life from theragen poisoning. (VAN novella: The Ruins of Noble Men) Gorkon would later serve as the Chancellor of the High Council of the Klingon Empire from 2292 to 2293.
