  • Q: Why don't blondes like making KOOL-AID? A: Because they can't fit 8 cups of water in the little packet. i love blondes
  • As of three years ago, Kool-Aid has switched entirely to alcoholic Kool-Aid. This means all Kool-Aid is 50% alcohol. Though this technically makes it illegal for children to drink it, they drink it anyways. Many people drink it unaware that it will make them drunk, and before they know it they have videos of them drunk on YouTube.

  • Kool-Aid is a beverage made by adding Water to a commercially sold colored powder. To "drink Kool-Aid" has developed two meanings in the popular lexicon. One meaning refers to the fact that before LSD became illegal, garbage can-sized containers were filled with the drink, spiked with the Drug and given away free to those who attended rock concerts at the Filmore West. Another meaning that is more often used in modern times refers to the blind Faith of the Religious in connection with the Suicide of around 900 believers who drank Kool-Aid spiked with cyanide at the behest of religious cult leader Jim Jones. Thus, according to both meanings, to drink Kool-Ade is to abandon reality and trip out into a surreal zone where nothing is real but your thoughts.
  • Kool-Aid is a packaged drink mix created in 1927 and owned by Kraft Foods. Bugs Bunny and other Looney Tunes characters appeared on packaging and advertising for the product in the 1960s. All of the classic Kool-Aid commercials featuring Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd.

  • The Op-Yop was a toy marketed in the 1960's by a company based in Royal Oak, Michigan called Kramer Designs. The company's original location was an office on Adams in the neighboring community of Birmingham. The history we could find was based on a Time Magazine article in 1968 where it was stated that a million of the Op-Yops had been sold and another million were expected to sell by Christmas. In my travels, I have found some additional information including an internal memo relating to some six months worth of advertising that was done on the Soupy Sales Show with Soupy doing the commercials shot in Detroit. There were also memo's to retailers advising them to stock up on the toy to be in sync with the Soupy Sales ads. I tracked down the original molder who made the parts and talked to

I tracked down the original molder who made the parts and talked to some home workers who assembled them at their homes from 1967 through 1968. The toy was labeled as a psychedelic sensation and was skin packaged on 4-1/4 inch by 14 inch printed chipboard. More can be found out about the recent reincarnation of the op-yop at WWW.op-yop.com
