  • Botho Kollberg (11 July 1898 – 24 January 1944) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Kolberg was killed during the Leningrad–Novgorod Offensive to relief the Siege of Leningrad. As a result he was posthumously promoted to Generalmajor and awarded the Oak Leaves to his Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.
