  • Downlink Dual Carrier feature is part of the V18.0 Evolved EDGE feature suite. This feature enhances the throughput in the downlink direction by giving allocation on two carriers for downlink. This means a change on both the mobile handset side and the network side. Theoritically, this can double the downlink throughput for a mobile, as shown by the recent demos presented at Barcelona and Las Vegas.
