- DREADNOK TORCH was remanded to Borstal (a reform school) at age fourteen. He escaped and went to sea in the Merchant Marine, where he learned the use of the cutting torch. This led him to his favorite pastime: taking things apart. He’ll dismember cars, trucks, motorcycles or any other mechanical object with his collection of cutting torches. The subsequent wreckage is, to him, a work of art. This unrepentant thug has a penchant for sudden and unexpected violence, matched only by the utter depth of his stupidity. His specialty and modus operandi: he works with an oxyacetylene torch as a general cutter, mostly on remodeling stolen cars and occasional safecracking. He also scavenges the swamps for fun and profit.

Also enemies that have ice are severely weaked by the heat of the fire.
- Torch is the 100th level in Chip's Challenge Level Pack 2. The only thing Chip has to do is walk the path to take the chips and then return to the exit (specifically the one next to the fire boots), making Torch one of the easiest levels in the set, and easy even by the designer Tyrethali Ansrath's standards. However, he can speed things up by a second by waiting four moves at some point between after collecting chip 6 and before collecting chip 13; this will save more time than it loses.

Oddly enough the only cow is dead before the Krug can get to it. Upon death, the Krug will not drop the torch, but a branch instead. This implies that the torch is merely an ordinary tree branch that has been lit on fire, reinforcing the poverty of the farmlands and the primitive nature of the Krug attackers.

When a human's Power of Existence is devoured, someone, usually a Flame Haze or Denizen, will create a Torch to take their place, although both cases for very different reasons; Denizens usually wish to make their consumption less noticeable, and so they are not hunted and detected, while Flame Haze wish to use this to soften the sudden "shift" the world would undergo, and prefer to make the change gradually by allowing the people's existence to slowly fade away without any noticeable change. There are some entities that wish to create Torches for personal methods, such as Friagne, who wanted to use "City Devourer" by using many Torches.

- When two sisters are killed in a fire, Detectives Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler are confused about why they are called to investigate. They soon discover that Stabler's old partner, ADA Jo Marlowe, has been put on the case (despite the absence of a sex crime) because the two victims were so young, and that she has enlisted the duo to help. However, as the investigation continues, Benson and Stabler find that the case might be more suited to their department than anyone originally assumed, and Stabler's interrogation tactics threaten to get the detectives into trouble.

Desirability | - They are useful when in dark areas, whether natural or magically made. As a weapon, lit torches don't fare too badly, but aren't great either. Still they beat healer's scalpels for first kills if they are lucky to be of a race which starts with torches; although as torches are 'improvised' weapons it is impossible to true berserk with one, a tactic which is usually advised for healers at the start of the game due to little starting armor. They are also helpful for archers with low Perception.

abstract | - __NOEDITSECTION__
- __NOEDITSECTION__ __NOWYSIWYG__
- The Torch (たいまつ) is a weapon in the series that is mostly thrown in a short arc onto the ground and burns three to five flames on the ground.
Originally, it is believed that the father murdered the kids by accident when setting an arson fire, but after he attempts suicide in front of Marlowe, she begins to believe his innocence and turns to a fire investigator to prove it. The investigator is able to come up with another theory of the fire, one of it being an accidental electrical fire, but has no way to prove it and McCoy presses for Marlowe to continue the trial. In order to prove the man's innocence, Marlowe and the investigator set a condemned house on fire in a similar manner to what they believe happened. When it burns exactly like the fire that killed the girls, Marlowe drops the charges at the trial after showing everyone the evidence.
- This article is for the character Torch in the mainline X-Men continuity. For the character as he appeared in the film trilogy, see Torch (X-Men Movies) " I Lived In Hell, I Lived In Heaven, Without The X-Men, I Don't Know Where I Would Be, Without April, I Can't Even See Where I Would Be."—Torch--
- Torch was born and raised a Wisconsin boy. His family was never insanely wealthy, but his family made enough to get by. He went to private schools for a short time but soon switched to public schooling due to finances. In high school, Torch found his niche on the football team. As a tall, agile young man, he soon became one of the starting receivers for the Panthers. He scored 5 touchdowns as a sophomore, 8 as a junior, and 10 as a senior. It is said that one friday night, after a home game, Torch came home to find his dad drunk, passed out in the lawn. Upon entering the house, Torch found his mother badly beaten. After sobering his father up and getting in a brutal altercation with him, Torch's father was jailed. It is rumored that was this night that Torch vowed to be a true protector. Torch has never confirmed nor denied any of this story. When asking about his father his only response is "He's around somewhere."
- Torches are equippable items that can increase your line of sight. To craft a torch, place a piece of wood on a fire. To equip a torch, click it while it's in your inventory. This article is a . You can help My English Wiki by expanding it.
- A torch is a lighting object that players can make. All they need is a stick and some way to set the top on fire. The torch is used for lighting dark areas. It also is useful in combat by burning the enemy. Certain enemies are afraid of light so just carrying a torch will scare them away.
- In Tomb Raider (2013), Torches are used to burn away debris, posters that are tied to optional achievements, and hanging pieces of scrap metal. It is also used to solve numerous puzzles. Lara Croft acquires the Torch very early in the game.
- Torch, formerly known as Elysium, Verdant Vista, or Congo, was an inhabited planet in the Congo System and the throne world of the Kingdom of Torch, a star nation of freed slaves. Sixty percent of the surface was covered with rain forest, and the remainder was swamps, marsh and bayous. It was under the control of Manpower Incorporated’s subsidiary Verdant Vista, until a joint force of the Audubon Ballroom and the Maya Sector Detachment's Solarian League Marines seized control and established the independent Kingdom of Torch. (CS1)
- Torch is a puppet with a flamethrower for one hand. He was built in Puppet Master II by Andre Toulon after he has been resurrected from the dead. Torch's place in the group is that of a hit man with Thompson. He has firepower and a brutal attitude. He is the executioner of the group and shows no mercy to adults, animals or even children. Torch has suffered some injuries throughout his career. He was blasted with a fire repellent as well as whipped and electrocuted by a Totem.
- GRU soldiers in Tselinoyarsk, should they be stationed in or find themselves in Chyornaya Peschera's cave system, had stockpiled the caves with torches made from a branch of white birch and soaked with turputine so they wouldn't end up lost. Naked Snake, during Operation Snake Eater in 1964, managed to procure one of the torches when he was forced to fall into the cave system due to The Pain's hornet swarm in the crevace area of Bolshaya Past, and made use of it to navigate his way through the cave. Sigint also noted that it was an effective, though primitive, light source. During the 1980s, various PF holdouts in Africa made use of torches for visibility at night, such as Kiziba Camp.
- Unlit torches are dropped by many cave dwelling creatures including the level 49 and level 76-78 Catablepons, and Cave slimes. Unlit torches can sometimes be found inside barrels. They can also be purchased from these stores:
* Gunslik's Assorted Items
* Obli's General Store in Shilo Village
* Yanille's hunter store
* Ignatius's Hot Deals near the Sorcerer's Tower
* Jiminua's Jungle Store near Brimhaven File:Unlit torch detail.png Torches are a light source can be purchased in cities such as Dorgesh-Kaan, Shilo Village, Tai Bwo Wannai, or Yanille as an unlit torch. They are lit with a tinderbox. When lit, can be used as light sources in dungeons and in some quests such as Shilo Village. Multiple torches (up to 3) can be used at the same time for brighter lighting (this also works with candles).
- The Torch is the most basic form of usable light in Terraria. It can be placed on nearly any surface, and can also be held in the player's hand for a portable light source. A regular torch, unlike a Cursed Torch, will not produce light when submerged in water. File:Terraria - Colored Torches Terraria HERO Torches stay lit and do not extinguish over time. This is valuable when exploring underground because it helps to identify that have already explored. Torches can be picked up using a pickaxe or by right clicking on them. Torches can be placed on trees. They can be thrown to cast light into dark areas below the player by pressing the throw button. If you have a torch in your inventory you may take it out at any time by pressing and holding the shift key (default), you may also place torches using this method, eliminating the need to keep torches in your hotbar. You can also use different types of gems to color the lights the same way as Phaseblades. Also, torches can be upgraded to Cursed Torches and Ichor Torches by combining them with Cursed Flames and Ichor respectively: this allows the torches to emit a green/yellow light and be placed underwater. Torches can also be switched on or off when wired to a Timer, a Switch, a Lever or a Pressure Plate. On top of their primary purpose, they can be used to mark interesting places on the minimap since torches reliably show up as bright yellow pixels, making torch "pixel art" easy to find on the map. It is a good idea to make a square, arrow etc. (anything that stands out on the map) of torches at each of the four locked chests in the Dungeon to find them more easily once you get the respective keys.
- There are different kinds of torches. Players can examine them for their properties. Only the "rarer" version works in the crafting. "It's about a one in three chance of getting the "rarer" one than the normal one, at least, that's what I deducted once I was looking for them a lot." Sojourner
- This Backpack item helps to light dark areas. Some creatures are afraid of fire, so possessing a torch at a critical moment may help or completely avoid a fight. A Tinderbox is often needed to light a Torch.
- Torch is a character that appears in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series. He is a Badnik created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik and was built to be a flame-throwing super weapon. Because of his bad temper however, Robotnik dumped him. He lives in Scrap Valley.
- Torches can be purchased in cities such as Dorgesh-Kaan, Keldagrim, Shilo Village, Tai Bwo Wannai, and Yanille or at the Grand Exchange (unlit), trading with Ignatius Vulcan and by trading with fellow players. After fighting Sigmund in Death to the Dorgeshuun, when a player goes through the tunnel to arrive at the goblin mines without a light source, a lit torch will be automatically placed in their inventory. Lit Torches received a graphical update with the Champions' Challenge update on 9 November 2009.
- A ship made by Roberts Space Industries sometime before 2812. It was used in the 2812 Murray Cup.
- A torch was a fire source intended to be used as a source of light. Many torches were little more than a wooden stick wrapped in ignitable, oil-soaked rags. In 8 ABY Han Solo used a torch when exploring the back of a Dathomir cave known as the Rivers of Stone.
- The catacombs of the Vulcan monasteries P'Jem and T'Karath were equipped with torches. (ENT: "The Andorian Incident", "Awakening") In 2153, Captain Jonathan Archer pointed out to T'Pol that when Vulcans landed on Earth, they were not chased with torches and pitchforks, however much Humans may have feared them. He later rode with the Melbourne Maulers motorcycle club. Torch is an illiterate, unrepentant thug with a penchant for violence matched only by the utter depth of his stupidity. He uses his oxy-acetyline torch for remodeling cars and the occasional safe-cracking. He is also known to scavenge the swamps for fun and profit.

- The torch is an unusable weapon found on the very first enemy you encounter in the game, a Krug Scavenger. He is seen rampaging through the fields and breaking into the cattle pen.

- A Torch(トーチTōchi) is a human being who has had a majority of their Power of Existence drained and consumed by a Crimson Denizen. A Torch with a Treasure Tool inside of it is regarded as a Mystes.

- Torches are objects mainly found in dark levels that act as portable light sources. Besides providing light, they can also be used to ignite wall sconces, quickly burn away webs, or thrown to attack enemies at range. Hitting an enemy with a flaming torch will set them alight briefly, but this is a purely visual effect and does not cause additional damage. Torches will be extinguished if they are submerged in water, and will no longer provide light. Extinguished torches can be rekindled by touching a burning wall sconce, but not by touching traps. Torches will also be extinguished upon finishing the level, essentially assuming the usefulness of an ordinary rock. Tiki Men carry torches instead of Boomerangs in dark Jungle levels, and will throw them at the Spelunker if spotted, although this is less accurate than the Boomerang. They can serve as a useful replacement if you somehow lose your own torch.
- Torches are the player's primary source of light in Minecraft. They are crafted using Coal or Charcoal on top of a Stick. When placed on a solid block, Torches will emit a fairly bright light, illuminating everything up to about four blocks away sufficiently to prevent hostile mob spawning. This is essential for giving a player peace from mobs and a way to see precious ores in caves.

- Torches are recurring objects in the Legend of Zelda series. They usually appear in dungeons and when lit, cause various results. Torches also appear as decorative items and sources of light.
- The torch is an item that can be purchased in stores, and there is one free torch in a chest in the King's chamber at the start of the game. It can be used in dungeons to light them up. It only lights up the adjacent tile to the player but its light lasts indefinitely until the player exits the dungeon.
- Torches are used to light up the area surrounding the player. To be used, they must be first equipped then, lit. They cannot be lit unless the player has both a Tinderbox and Box with flint and steel in their inventory, or alternatively it is possible to light a torch off an already lit one. Note that firemaking equipment has charges, so torches should not be relit too frequently. If a torch is wielded and another worn in the tool slot, they stack to create an even greater line of sight. Each torch usually adds three to four squares of visibility radius in dungeon areas. If a lit torch is already available, lighting a new torch does not require firemaking equipment or consume charges from it. In addition to the natural melee damage rating of 1d4, a lit torch will deal 1d4 fire damage. In 1.1.1 these are two separate sources of damage and both are modified by the monster's PV. In 1.2.x, PV is subtracted just once.
- The Torch is a weapon obtained in Silent Hill 4: The Room. Henry Townshend picks the torch up from the lit brazier in the cemetery area during his second visit to the Forest World. The torch must be picked up for both Henry and his neighbor, Eileen Galvin to escape the Forest World. It is used to find five missing parts of a doll. The dismembered doll is found in the charred wreckage of the Wish House Orphanage. The doll parts are found in wells. It can be relit by examining any source of fire to light or re-light the flammable head. As the in-game description hints, the time the torch stay lit can be prolonged by dunking its head in oil. The oil is in Henry's apartment's laundry room, in a canister placed on the floor. The torch can used as a weapon, lit or unlit, as Henry swings it like he does the steel pipe. This is not recommended; it has short reach and is weaker compared to the other weapons that would have been obtained.
- When Set, it increases base HP by 9, base Attack by 3, and base Luck by 1. When Torch's battle effect is used, the screen is briefly lit up with a wavy, oscillating heat effect, and the target is hit by a Mars-based attack equal in power to the user's normal physical attack with an additional 30 damage points added to the result. There is a chance that when the attack hits, only 50% of the target's current Defense rating is applied, sharply increasing Torch's damage.
