The first iteration of the road car, the '92 BMW M3, had a 2.3L engine that produced 192 hp (143 kW). This version had a top speed of 146 mph (235 km/h) and a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time of 6.9 s. The biggest engine was the 2.5L engine with 235 hp (175 kW). Thhis beast had a top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h) and a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time of 6.1 s.
