| abstract | - The USS Abilene (NCC-62015) was a Federation Sabre-class light cruiser that saw service in the 24th century. In mid-2377, the Abilene ran into trouble with an unexpected shut down her warp core. The USS Ninnescah, with Jaimie Petrelli and Dorian Collins, responded to her distress call. They attempted to restart the warp core without success. Before they could examine the situation further, power to the antimatter containment system failed, forcing the crew to abandon ship. Abilene's crew was picked up by the USS Nimitz and taken to Starbase 42. The captain presented himself for, and insisted upon, a court martial investigation into the loss of his ship. In fact, the ship had been sabotaged by a computer virus that allowed for remote control of the ship. With help of some undercover work by Roslyn of the USS Hainan, they were able to recover Abilene and capture the saboteur. (USS Baldwin: "Reaction to Action")
