| abstract | - FIRESIDE GIRLS WITH KRISTY AND THE BACKYARD GANG CHALLENGE: STEP ON UP The fireside girls team arrives with the Kristy and the backyard gang. Kristy explains the rules of this challenge. Each pair will race to collect a series of puzzle steps. The steps must be placed in order from bottom to top to complete a very tall staircase. First team to finish their staircase and get to the top wins. The teams were Melissa and Gretchen in blue, Raymond and Adyson in green, Ryan and Katie in orange, Mike and Holly in red, Zac A. and Milly in purple, Zac K. and Ginger in yellow. Team red takes the lead by placing their first set of steps the fastest. Team yellow, blue and green were right behind them. Team orange and purple are far behind and struggling. Although in the lead, team red, yellow and green each waste a little time, by bringing the wrong plank up the stairs, then having to go back down to replace it. This challenge starts to wear on the teams, as they battle the 110-degree temperature while carrying planks up and down the stairs numerous times. Team yellow is the first to complete their second set of stairs. Team green and red are right behind him. Team blue, purple and orange are now far behind the leaders. As they approach the end, team yellow has two steps left to complete, while team red and green each have three. Team yellow is really struggling to get up the steps now. They place their last step and crawls to the top to win. Team yellow then lays down at the top because of crapping muscles and being overheated. Team blue rushes them some water, which they drinks and pours on their head. The other teams then help them stand up.
