| desc | - In Serena's Goal?!, it was revealed that Leaf chose Bulbasaur as her first Pokémon. It seems to get along well with Ash's Bulbasaur. Compared to Ash's Bulbasaur, this one is more gentle and also smaller. Additionally, Bulbasaur is shown to have a great love for flowers. In its debut episode, it battles against Ash's Bulbasaur but loses. In the following episode, Bulbasaur watches Ash's Gym Battle alongside its trainer. In Episode 10, Leaf uses Bulbasaur in the Appeal Round of the Pewter City Contest.
Bulbasaur's known moves are Tackle, Vine Whip, Razor Leaf and Sleep Powder.
- Beedrill is first seen in Episode 10 where it is used in the Battle Stage of the Pewter City Pokémon Contest. It manages to win the Contest Battles against Serena's Oddish as well as other participants, earning Leaf the Pewter City Ribbon.
Beedrill's known moves are Twineedle, String Shot, Agility, Poison Sting and Rage.
