  • From its inception, the figure of Darth Nemo was attacked by members of the Jedi High Council, who did not consider the string of events indicative of the presence of a Sith or malignant Force user. At various times, about five to fifteen percent of the Order advocated the existence of Nemo, which accounted for tensions inside the Jedi organizations, especially with regards to foreign policy and public relations. Eventually, a few months before the signing of the Pellaeon–Gavrisom Treaty that terminated the hostilities between the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic, a journalist published classified documents pertaining to the Darth Nemo hypothesis, which resulted in frenzy amongst the population, necessitating official statements from high-ranking Jedi and politicians to quell the emotions. As the Republic and the Remnant entered a period of peaceful coexistence, support of the Nemo theory gradually diminished, especially during the Yuuzhan Vong War. When former Imperial admiral Natasi Daala became the leader of the Galactic Alliance in 40 ABY, the concept was relived and the majority of Jedi embraced the idea. The Jedi High Council acknowledged the existence of Nemo in a closed session in 44 ABY, and agreed to take steps to prevent the spread of what it labeled Imperial culture in the Galactic Alliance. Daala, whose faction had lost their majority in the Galactic Senate following the 44 ABY elections, was unable to prevent the passing of a legislation that prevented former Galactic Empire military personnel and public officials to fulfill positions of public servitude in the Republic, and was forced to resign. In the mostly undisturbed decades after 45 ABY, Darth Nemo was assumed to have died by the Jedi. In 137 ABY, certain Jedi fugitives tied the emergence of the One Sith to Nemo's earlier activity.

After leaving Korriban, Darth Nemo took on his own apprentice, a Twi'lek adolescent several years his senior, and christened him Darth Acheron. Together with disillusioned Grey Jedi Knight Leise Kern, he formed an unprecedented Order of the Force to unite Sith and Jedi against the Yuuzhan Vong, and was involved in several clandestine missions against the galactic invaders. The Order was placed on standby after the end of the war.
