rdfs:comment
  • Masaru Yada is a classmate and a childhood friend of Hazuki.
  • Yada is calm, enigmatic, and a little anti-social. He doesn't have too much interest in many things, and doesn't really support opinions or ideas by much. He is also very tough, so most boys his age (besides Takeshi Hasebe) don't try to pick a fight with him, while others just don't care. Yada is also misunderstood, and isn't afraid of teachers or fights. Meanwhile, Hazuki seems to be the only one to understand.

Yada is also misunderstood, and isn't afraid of teachers or fights. Meanwhile, Hazuki seems to be the only one to understand. Masaru is Hazuki Fujiwara's childhood friend, Yada is often misunderstood. He appears to be quiet and loves playing the trumpet. Although he seems quite poor at handling social situations (something that improves as the series progresses), he is actually a kind-hearted person. This becomes more evident when a classmate, Shiori, has a serious disease, and he practices a new song for her to help her recover more quickly. Surprisingly, he is well aware of his special relationship with Hazuki, which appears to be somewhere between friends and boyfriends. Like Hazuki, he is also quite afraid of ghosts, sometimes even to the point of petrification, which he won't admit to anyone else. Hazuki teaches him the Majo Rika chant to help him mount his courage. Masaru has a very deep relationship with Hazuki Fujiwara. They have been best friends for a long time. In some episodes Masaru is often seen in flashbacks. He used to give flowers to Hazuki on her Birthday/Valentine's Day, while she gave him chocolates. But he somewhat hurt her feelings by saying some hurtful words, but they still made up. He also gave Hazuki a ocarina and asked her to keep it their secret, but when he jumped to conclusions when he thought Hazuki told the others their secret. He also once carried Hazuki when she was hurt.
