| abstract | - Asaamba Besadii Jubu was a Hutt gangster on Nal Hutta and a mid-level crimelord of the Besadii kajidic. During the Sith-Imperial War and the subsequent Second Imperial Civil War, Asaamba was one of the Hutts most responsible for supporting the reigning One Sith, providing arms and intelligence in exchange for a free hand to operate. After the death of Darth Krayt and the establishment of the Galactic Federation Triumvirate, Asaamba also assisted some Sith Lords into hiding. The Jedi paid repeated visits to Asaamba, suspecting he had lingering Sith loyalties, and the Hutt grew disgruntled both with their presence and the demands the Sith made upon him, repeatedly summoning his help for inserting their people into governments and corporations throughout the galaxy or hiding Sith artifacts and weapons. When Asaamba received word that a dealer on Coruscant was offering to sell two Sith holocrons on the black market, he dispatched his third-in-command, the Zeltron Rahli, to obtain the holocrons. Asaamba intended to use the holocrons as leverage with his Sith “allies”.
