* Affably Evil: Ernie, the Omnidimensional conquerer, is a surprisingly nice guy Super-Powered Evil Side when he doesn't get ticked off.
* Cool Car: The 1980 Firebird, when powered by Ernie the Conquistador's gauntlet, is capable of inter-dimensional travel.
* Everyone Meets Everyone: Mordecai and Rigby meet Finn and Jake in Chapter 3.
* Everything's Even Worse with Sharks: Upon first arriving in Ooo, Mordecai and Rigby are attacked by a Knife-Eyed Tree-Shark.
* Hyperspace Is a Scary Place: It certainly seems that way. Ernie doesn't seem to have that much trouble when he travels through it, though.
* Insistent Terminology: So far, Ernie is always referred to as a 'Conquistador'; even in the narration.
* Nice Hat: Ernie the Conquistador wears a party-hat.
* Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Finn and Jake accidentally releasing Ernie. Finn even hangs a lampshade by being embarassed that this isn't the first time he's done something like this.
* Our Monsters Are Weird: In true AT fashion, one of the first creatures that Mordecai and Rigby encounter in Ooo is described as a 'Knife-eyed tree-shark'.
* Power Fist: Ernie wields one. It acts as his main method of travel between dimensions, and had a variety of other uses.
* Sealed Evil in a Can: Ernie was trapped inside of his gauntlet of power, until Finn and Jake accidentally released him.
* Shout-Out: The second chapter's beginning is a reference to Regular Show's pilot.
* The Alleged Car: The 1980 Firedbird when not powered by Ernie's gauntlet. It runs 'good'.
