  • The first vow: "Thou shalt not slay the innocent". Its verse: "And He sayeth onto thee, blessed be those who doth spare the innocent babes brought into the world as well as those who stay true to His word". The first Vow of Righteousness sets the stage for the rest though it doesn't have to be learnt first, this particular Vow prevents the user from harming innocents whether they are infants or children who have not yet reached maturity. This vow grants the user the ability to detect the innocence of one's soul with a gaze, due to the eyes being a window to the soul when looking at targets depending on the glow their eyes emit one can tell how tainted their soul is. Those whose eyes glow white are incapable of possessing any taint, and thus they are referred to as "Righteous". These are more often than not those who keep Vows of Kami. Those whose eyes glow blue have no taint within their being, and thus they are referred to as "Innocent". These are often children or those who have not sinned or have atoned for their sins. Those whose eyes glow yellow have miniscule amounts of taint within their body, and thus they are referred to as "Tainted" or "Blasphemers". These are often those who worship other deities. Those whose eyes glow orange have a moderate level of taint, and thus they are referred to as "Sinners". These are often those who partake in one of the Seven (Lust, Wrath, Envy, Greed, Gluttony, Pride, Sloth). Those whose eyes glow red have a high level of sin, and thus are referred to as "Corrupted". These are most often murderers of the Innocent or the Righteous. Those whose eyes glow purple possess a very high level of taint within their being, and thus are referred to as "Maleficar". These are always Acolytes, Necromancers, Unwilling Undead, Curse Mark Holders and Possessed Victims. Those whose eyes radiate black are utterly tainted, and thus are referred to as "Embodiments of Evil". These are always Willing Undead, Acolyte Demons, Jashinists, Curse Mark Creators, those with multiple souls and Immortals that have not been blessed by Kami. Vow Broken: If the follower breaks this vow, their children will be born with sin resulting in the mortality rate rising for all of their offspring, and as a result most of their children will not live to be conceived.
