  • A point-to-point topology (P2P) consists of a dedicated long-range, high-capacity wireless link between two sites. Switched point-to-point topologies are the basic model of conventional telephony. Typically, the main or central site hosts the base station (BS), and the remote site hosts the subscriber station (SS), as seen in the figure below.
