Along the way, Elliott has worked as a television news director, producer, host, anchor, writer, and traffic reporter. He's also acted in several regional and national television commercials. Ironically, he's played the role of a television news reporter or anchor on more than a half dozen television shows including, The Practice, Once and Again, and The Agency and on the satirical Onion News Network. As anchor/reporter for WGBH-TV's public affairs series, Say Brother, Elliott earned two New England Emmy Awards. The first, in 1988 for Outstanding Informational Programming for the presentation of Bobby McFerrin... Without Peer. The second, in 1990, for a half-hour documentary that tore open the veil of secrecy surrounding the questionable shooting of a 17-year old by Boston police called, What Happened to Donald Johnson? It was Elliott who broke the story about comedian Eddie Murphy's upcoming marriage back in 1992 during his tour as host of the nationally syndicated entertainment news magazine, Ebony/Jet Showcase. A well-kept secret at that time, Murphy shared it with Elliott even after refusing to talk about it with good friend and late night talk host Arsenio Hall. He currently lives in Boyds, MD with his wife, Arnetia Walker and son Trevor.
