| abstract | - Gaeriel Skywalker was born in 47 ABY to Ben and Vestera Skywalker. Unlike her male ancestors, she was not a fighter, preferring to stay in the Jedi Temple and study the history of both the Jedi and the Sith. She took a particular interest in Zhell mythology which expressed the religious views of the earliest known humans in the galaxy. However, she was still good at lightsaber combat and enjoyed practicing with her friends while she was a youngling. Around 74 ABY, Gaeriel fell in love with Zevan Niros, who was a fellow Jedi Padawan. Zevan had lost the physical use of his legs due to a childhood accident, but was able to walk by using the Force. He was a technical genius, almost on par with Anakin Skywalker, and spent much of his spare time modifying droids. The two got married in 77 ABY, but Zevan was killed two years later in the Battle of Drakir. She finally saw him again shortly after she herself was killed during Darth Krayt's raid on Ossus.
