abstract
  • CARSI (an acronym for CERNET Authentication and Resource Sharing Infrastructure) is an inter-institutional authentication and authorization project initiated by Peking University. The project is sponsored by the China Next Generation Internet Program (CNGI), the National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program) and the National Program on Key Basic Research Project (973 Program). CARSI aims to build an authentication and authorization infrastructure for CERNET universities and users so that web resources owned by a single university or other institutions can be shared across CERNET. The cornerstone for this cross-domain authentication and authorization infrastructure is the unified identity management systems and web resources already deployed in member universities, as well as web resources provided by related institutions.
