| abstract | - Tyce Jhelum was born to two farmers on the agriworld Ixtlar. After their farm was burnt down during a battle of the Hoaman Conflict, they fled to Coruscant, where Tyce's mother Letteo Jhelum died of an infection. After his wife's death, Kaleb Jhelum struggled to provide a good life for his son and he soon became involved in the business of smuggling death sticks from Balosar to Coruscant. After botching a very important job, Kaleb was hunted down and captured by smuggling kingpin Nos, who personally executed him. Young Tyce, now an orphan, was forced to live his life on the street, pickpocketing and begging. He was found one year later by Jedi Grand Librarian Birnal, who took him to Ossus to become a Jedi youngling.
