The gem is said to grant the user a great amount of power when used. Unfortunately due to how the gems are actually created there were few gems, and when Uzushiogakure was destroyed by other nations the Uzumaki Clan made sure that most of the gems were destroyed and those that remained were scattered with the remnants of the clan across the world. All of the gems that were created look the same, being a crimson red in coloration and having a diamond shaped figure. The reason that so few gems were created was because the gems are actually the physical manifestations of the potent life force of Uzumaki that have sealed their own life force inside it for hundreds of years into the diamond-shaped conduit. Imbued with many years of Uzumaki life force the gems have accumulated great power exceeding even the Stone of Gelel.It was because of this reason that many within the clan sought its power for their own and sacrificed many for its creation and resulted in civil strife for several years. For this reason few amongst the Uzumaki Clan knew how to create these gems and kept its secret to their graves.
