  • Command Points
rdfs:comment
  • In EndWar, command points (CP) act as a sort of currency during battles. They must be spent in order to call reinforcements and use mission supports, and some special abilities, such as Deep Strike, can only be used if the player has enough command points to spend. CP accumulate slowly over time, and are awarded for capturing uplinks at a rate of 4 points per uplink captured. At the bottom of the command point indicator is the current reserve count for the player. Each reinforcement used reduces this number, and if it reaches 0, then the player can no longer call upon reinforcements.
  • Command points are a game concept in Master of Orion 2. Command points are required to operate a fleet. If you have more ships than your command points allow, you will pay maintenance on those ships each turn.
  • Command Points are an element of all game-modes that limits the amount of units and heroes a faction can have at a time. Every unit and every Hero, except for Summoned units and builders, causes the total Command point amount to increase once they are summoned or trained. In The Battle for Middle-earth II, the average Command Point amount for infantry units is 60. The starting Limit in Skirmishes is 200, unless the faction is based within a fortress of a Fortress-map, in which case it starts at 800.
  • Characters gain more Command Points as they level up, and all characters have 450 CP at Level 100. Max CP can be increased with the accessories Hero's Essence and Hero's Spirit, to a potential maximum of 510 CP.
  • Command Points (CP) limit the maximum number of Sworn Swords you can send on Adventures and/or Player to Player Actions at the same time. You begin the game with 5 command points, gaining an additional point at level 5 and every 5th level thereafter. A player will stop accumulating command points once they reach level 2600. Command points can be boosted by investing on the level 90 Fealty Talents; at level 2600 with all level 90 fealty talents made permanent, the maximum number of command points possible is 525.

The Command Point Limit is a limit to the size of the player's army. will increase this limit when fully built, by 50, as will Heroic Statues in BFME 2, by 10. When any of these structures are destroyed, the Limit will decrease back to how it had been. The starting Limit in Skirmishes is 200, unless the faction is based within a fortress of a Fortress-map, in which case it starts at 800. The Command Point Factor is an adjustable value before a Skirmish begins. This increases or decreases the degree to which the Command Point Limit can be adjusted. The default Factor is 1X, and causes the max-Command-Point-Limit during the skirmish to be 1000. If this Factor is set to 4X, then the max-Limit will be 4000, and so on. In , however, the Limit for the faction that is based in the fortress itself will only reach 1000, even if the Command Point Factor was set above 1X.

Command points are shown on the right side of the screen at the top of the Sworn Sword panel, the top left of the Adventure Party interface, and the top right of the Player to Player interface. The format of command points is Points in Use/Total Command Points. You can calculate your command points dividing your current level by 5, rounding down and adding 5.

Max CP can be increased with the accessories Hero's Essence and Hero's Spirit, to a potential maximum of 510 CP. All attacks and abilities cost some CP to equip. When an attack or ability is mastered, its CP cost decreases. A character can equip as many abilities of any type as the player wishes, at long as the total CP costs of the equipped abilities does not exceed the character's max CP. When equipping abilities and attack, if a character does not have enough CP left over to equip an ability, that ability is displayed in red and cannot be equipped. A bar across the top of the screen displays CP consumption, colored green to denote attacks and blue to denote abilities. When an attack or ability is highlighted, the amount of relative CP it would need is displayed on the bar as a glowing white area. When an equipped ability is highlighted, the amount of relative CP it is currently taking up is noted by highlighting part of the bar red.
