  • Kurrea
rdfs:comment
  • In Australian Aboriginal mythology (specifically the Wiradjuri & Kamilaroi from what is present-New South Wales), Kurrea is a giant snake, specifically the Rainbow Serpent (very important entity in Aboriginal belief, who created most of the water holes on the continent) who created the Boobera Lagoon. Kurreah means "crocodile" in other Aboriginal tribal languages and Kurreah seems to refer to a crocodile monster which resides in waterholes and devours people whole in Euahylayi belief (another Aboriginal tribe).
