| abstract | - Samus (サムス, Samus) is a starter character and returning veteran in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. She is one of the "Original 12" characters that have appeared in every Smash Bros. installment. While her moveset has been kept pretty much the same, a notable difference is that she no longer can transform into Zero Suit Samus, who is now a separate character. She currently ranks 41st on the tier list. This is because she is a heavyweight, possesses a tether, a good combo game, and multiple projectiles; however she is also easy to combo and juggle, has a poor recovery, slow falling speed, and a slow and punishable grab.
