  • The Werewolves are a fictional organization from the Wild Cards series of books. They are an all-joker street gang, and part of the Shadow Fist Society. Aping their leader, members all wear the same face mask, which changes on an irregular basis. The mask, usually of some famous or infamous person, is their gang sign and some Werewolves fly into a killing rage if ordered to remove it. Examples of masks used by the Werewolves include Leo Barnett, Gregg Hartmann, Mae West, Michael Jackson, Liza Minnelli, and Richard Nixon.
  • Werewolves are a breed of lycanthropes that transform into wolves. The social habits of werewolves are probably the most fully described in the series, both because of Anita and Jean-Claude's association with the wolves and because werewolves appear to be the most prevalent type of shapeshifter, particularly in the St. Louis area.
  • Werewolves are humans that undergo forced transformations into wolves around the full moon. These wolves are often very aggressive, but upon reverting the human has no memory of his or her acts.
  • Werewolves could apply to multiple things: * For the supernatural being see Werekin. * For the branch of Millennium, see The Werewolves.
  • The greater Werewolves were Maia-Spirits of great power while the lesser Werewolves - or true Wargs - were but mighty undead beasts. These creatures could alter their form so that they were able to stand upright and use their clawlike hands, but they couldn't transform themselves into Men. While Werewolves possessed the intelligence of the Secondborn — and though they would speak, use tools, and cast spells — they remained Wolf-like in their nature. Only a few maiarin Werewolves still possessed the ability to change their form into a more human-like appearance.
  • Werewolves are enemies in the game Turn-Undead.
  • Being a werewolf is hereditary and is inherited from at least one parent, though a double lineage makes for a stronger wolf. The transformation is often triggered by the presence of a nearby vampire or other supernatural creature, and usually occurs during adolescence. It cannot occur if the individual is too old, even if the trigger is then present. The maximum age is not exactly known, but is believed to be somewhere in the late twenties or thirties.
  • Werewolves were servants of Morgoth, bred from wolves and inhabited by dreadful spirits (fallen lesser Maiar or the fëar [souls] of orcs) imprisoned in these wolfish forms by Sauron. Unlike werewolves in other literature, the werewolves of Middle-earth do not transform from man to wolf at night and their behavior is not influenced by the full moon or other lunar cycles. They inhabited Tol-in-Gaurhoth, which became known as the Isle of Werewolves.
  • Werewolves are a supernatural breed of shapeshifters who transform into anthropomorphic wolves. Their shifts are triggered by the sight of the full moon; causing an aggressive and painful change as flesh and bone reshape to match that of the lupine beast. Werewolves are clinically known as Lycanthropes while they are known in France as Loup-garou. Werewolves are believed to have carried an ancient rivalry with vampires, although this has not yet been confirmed. Werewolves were fleetingly introduced in Lost Boys: The Thirst where Edgar Frog researches a she-wolf's ability to change at will. Zoe is such a werewolf.
  • There are multiple signs one can follow to determine who may be a werewolf: * The person may oddly know a lot about werewolves, or mention having dealt with them. * They may howl or enjoy a full moon. * Suspicious behavior in general.
  • Werewolves is the eleventh episode of the sixth season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
  • These monsters are all what is left of an alternate Earth where the alternate Requiem succeeded in his plans. Portal Corp knows of this dimension and can bring heroes here... if there's a reason powerful enough.
  • Werewolves were powerful wolves encountered by Kain in Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. They were stronger and more powerful than normal wolves and were only revealed as werewolves when they were killed - as they returned to human form as they died. This seemed to be in a similar manner to Kain's own Wolf Form, except they were clearly not Vampires, given their 'unchanged' Human state. As with traditional Werewolves they were more powerful or more active during a full moon, as was Kain - particularly in his wolf form. The biggest concentration of Werewolves Kain fought was around the Lost City. How they relate to Kain and Vorador's wolf forms is unknown and they have yet to reappear in the series.
  • Werewolves, also known as Lycanthropes, are humans who transform into a wolf-like creature at the rising of the full moon. Werewolves can be distinguished from regular wolves by several small distinguishing characteristics, such as the pupils of the eyes, snout shape, and tufted tail. At all other times, they appear as normal humans, though will often seem to be ill as the full moon approaches. This condition is caused when a human is bitten by a transformed werewolf. Unfortunately, there is no cure for lycanthropy. However, some of the worst effects can be lessened by consuming Wolfsbane Potion, which allows a werewolf to retain his or her human mind while transformed, thus freeing them from the worry of harming other humans or themselves.
  • These "Werewolves" are supposedly in government labs where they have experiments performed on them. Many do believe that werewolves are real due to the fact that most cultures have legends of shapeshifters or a kind of werewolf. The werewolf theory is actaully popular and many believe that Werewolves aren't the only supernatural creature that the government has hidden the existence of.
  • Werewolves is a title of the new exclusive content from J.K. Rowling unlocked in Book 3, Chapter 20, Moment 1 .
  • Werewolves, also known as lycanthropes or wolfmen, are mythological humans with the ability to shapeshift into wolves or wolf-like creatures, either purposely, being bitten by another werewolf or after being placed under a curse. Most werewolves develop common physical attributes including enhanced strength, speed, reflexes and sharpened senses.
  • Werewolves, also known as Lycanthropes and the Children of the Moon, are a species of Downworlders. Like vampires, werewolves are humans infected with a demonic disease, which gives them the ability to transform—or Change—into powerful wolves and gain their inhuman strength and enhanced capabilities.
  • Werewolves are supernatural creatures who can transform between the form of a human and that of a wolf. They are considerably stronger than humans even in their human forms.
  • The "Werewolves" are characters and antagonists from Future-Worm!. They are humans transformed into werewolves thanks to Dr. Wolfman's experiments.
  • Werewolves are monsters from Scooby Dum, Who's afriad of the big Bad Werewolf
  • Werewolf can refer to: * Alpha Werewolf * Limos Werewolf
  • Like many super-natural races that exist on Earth, the true origins of werewolves is shrouded in mystery. Further there are many other species that have similar characteristics. While traditionally, werewolves appear to have a mystical background, their origins could be tied to the Wolf Demon or the Wolf-Gods. Similarly, they may be an offshoot of the Wolf Men a race of lupine humanoids that existed circa 18,000 BC. One account suggests the lycanthropy was a gift handed down by the Elder Gods. There are passages in the Book of Darkhold that contain information regarding a werewolf curse which suggests that there may be some connection between werewolves and Chthon.
  • Werewolves are humans that can transform into wolves. Some mythologies hold that werewolves transform involuntarily at the full moon; however, numerous werewolves in Vamp! have shifted their forms at will and not necessarily during the full moon. Certain werewolves (such as Watson) may have cravings for raw meat. According to Vamp! IV, werewolves generally remain in human form, and most of them have human records. An important note is that unlike vampires, werewolves cannot be detected by Eaters. This makes them invaluable in fights in which Eaters are involved.

  • Werewolves are humans that can transform into wolves. Some mythologies hold that werewolves transform involuntarily at the full moon; however, numerous werewolves in Vamp! have shifted their forms at will and not necessarily during the full moon. Werewolves can partially or fully transform -- a good visual cue for when werewolves are prepared to transform into wolves is when their eyes become inhuman. They have superhuman senses of smell and hearing, and abnormal strength and speed compared to normal wolves. Their claws are noticeably strong as well (often compared to metals like iron and steel). The werewolves at Waldstein Castle are apparently impressively strong for werewolves. They (along with other supernatural beings such as witches and skeletons) serve the castle as familiars and bodyguards. Several of the werewolves have dyed their hair red and blue. Including the castle's personnel, there is a large werewolf population on the island of Growerth. Some werewolves also serve the Clans as their subjugated servants alongside other species. A particular line of werewolves -- the Silver Wolves -- serve the Shreemeice Clan.

There are passages in the Book of Darkhold that contain information regarding a werewolf curse which suggests that there may be some connection between werewolves and Chthon. There appears to be two methods of transforming a human being into a werewolf, one being mystical and the other through mutation by scientific means. While mystical werewolves have specific weaknesses and their transformations between human and werewolf form are governed by specific environmental factors, scientifically created werewolves have abilities and weaknesses that vary.
